Forget all the trades. Give Embiid the year off, send him to Qatar for those mysterious treatments again, fine Simmons the maximum allowable and go with the one year process and add a blue chipper in the draft and tell Klutch we'll do it all over again if we have to.

I'm here for Tobias the tank commander :lol:

This is a definitely better option than taking garbage like Hield or Beasley.

The Maxey stuff doesn't make sense. He could be the starting PG here, depending on the return, when Simmons is traded or at worst the 6th man from the bench.

In others team he's not only probably gonna be behind Simmons, on his second year and being a sophomore he is likely to fight for playing time. If Maxey leaked this he's and idiot, if Paul did it to pressure a Ben trade, Maxey should fire him.

Still stupid.... they're risking their relation with Klutch which by the way the league is going is stupid.

This was a Klutch move, it's the only way it makes sense

It’s not ideal, but it is acceptable. Tobias for Barnes has to be part of the deal, though.

Hield, Fox, and Barnes for Harris, Maxey, and Simmons is almost an exact match salary wise.

I hate this is where we are now.

Trade demands have happened before, but they've been wrong before too. Wanting a trade is one thing, threatening to not honour your contract is another. In the past when guys like Shaq wanted a trade there was pressure to trade the guy, but it was not "trade me to team X", and it was rarely accompanied with threats to sit out with fake injuries (and if it was, it was wrong). Shaq also wanted a trade because LA was moving on from him, it wasn't just a one way thing. Nor is Simmons obviously, but this is not the way to approach it. Why can't team refuse to honour contracts if players can? Practical reasons aside, I have yet to hear an ethical justification for it.

Lol, at this point that offer would be a good one. Ben isn't a star and even stars often return garbage in a trade when things turn ugly.
