KD and Beal is a bad ass duo. I think they are better than Luka and Zion. It will come down to how well KP, Harris, and Nunn play if I am to have a chance against Portland.

Pretty much. Beal has never really impressed in any of his stops, Embiid/Lillard missed the playoffs, Jokic has never played like Jokic in the sim. For as stacked as a lot of teams are in this league, the sim ultimately controls the fate.

I’d like an interpretation of this stipulation from any one of my 28 GM counterparts. Since apparently I can’t get clarification from the commish himself.

Has any of you attempted to sign a free agent who didn’t have an asterisk by their name?

If you did, did you have to go through the bidding process or were they signed immediately to your team as per the red font language above?

Didn't have the chance to answer you last night...Asterisks are only for players that were not on a BaF team at the end of last year. They were free to sign at any time from the time the season ended up until now. They are basically "futures" contracts in a way if any team wanted them. Players without the asterisks were on a team at the end of last season and therefore needed to wait until our official opening of free agency to sign.

All players still need to wait the required time to actually sign at this point of our season though. We follow along to a schedule that was published in the last discussion thread. This week, we are up to the four hour waiting time so teams have a chance to beat bids. Next week we go to two hours followed by instant signings. That schedule can be found in the previous discussion thread.

Players without an asterisk were eligible to be bid on as soon as the new league year opened (such as Jordan Poole). The others needed to wait for the free agency period. You still bid and have to wait to see if others up the bid. You don't get them immediately.

Players without an asterisk were players who were not on a roster when the last season ended.

Maybe we should be doing a small tournament. Have a losers elimination bracket now. While keeping the winner ( OKC ) moving on as is. I really want to play GSW though if we are going to keep on with random and voting.

yeah I think Melo is going to do one when 2k22 comes out in a week or so.

yeah, i figured i wouldn't do as many, as to not take away from melo.


feel like it would lose steam if i continued all the way through melo running the tournament. would rather people be interested and hyped about that versus me running 2k20.

But what I meant in my last post ^^^^ was that I felt like if I continued to run them up to Melo's official tournament, people would be disinterested by the time his comes around.

I'm still good with running them if you guys want. Just wanted to make sure the enjoyment wasn't lost by the time the official tournament comes out.
