Millsap is chasing a ring more than role minutes. But je might get both on Nets

Yeah, that’s a good a guess I think. Wouldn’t love it, wouldn’t hate it.

To quote Stringer Bell, Patrick Patterson is a 40 degree day.

He said that about Patrick? WOW. Well I would have to agree with him. I don't mind a 40 degree day here and there though.

@johnhollinger: Best free agents left by BORD$ projection:

1. James Ennis
2. Denzel Valentine
3. JJ Redick
4. Jarred Vanderbilt
5. Ryan Arcidiacono

That would be a no from me on Denzel and Arci.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

It felt like a weird non sequitur at the time. Looking back it’s pretty apt though.

Man, he's probably super duper toast, but I feel like it would be worthwhile to have Joakim Noah just play his farewell tour and be a large body here. I dunno, nostalgia talking, I am sure.

As a runner, I absolutely love 40 degree days.

With Millsap off the board I think I would rather go wing like a James Ennis and let DeRozan be our backup PF in main rotation.

Ball, Caruso
Lavine, White(when healthy)
DeRozan, Brown, Ennis, Jones
Williams, (DeRozan)
Vucevic, Bradley

That would be top 11...Last 3 spots being Ayo, Marko and Green with 15th spot left open for now. Sign a big to a two way contract.

I understand going small a lot but they need another big (at least one) in case of injury or to match up against a team that’s abusing them inside.

I don’t understand the Brown / Ennis / Jones idea. Is your goal to play a three wing lineup with Bradley and Caruso? Having only 1 power forward (who half the board thinks is a SF) seems like a bad strategy

I like Ennis, but if you do that I think you have to carry 15

I think the main 2nd unit looks like this..

Caruso
White
Brown
Derozan
Bradley

Ennis or Jones sprinkled in depending on matchups, etc. Just offering another thought. We still could bring in a bigger forward like maybe even JaKarr Sampson instead of Ennis.

Never wanted Aldridge, but him also going to the Nets is weird.

Yea they have a lot of depth with Aldridge, Griffin, Claxton, Sharpe now Millsap too. Jordan getting waived for sure.

I remember that Vuc absolutely cooked Aldridge in that one game we played against them, he is a total zero defensively.

Well, at least the Bulls are at a point where if they have money to throw at a free agent, they'll take it; they have work to do to get to the level where they will come for peanuts because they like their odds of winning or the location/city.

IDK, I would like LA. He's a good offensive option off the bench. We might be able to go with LA and Bradley together.

Best option available is Meyers Leonard imo.

Or Call Niko back in Barcelona :)

As we lose out on more and more options, Meyers Leonard just looks better and better. 4 seasons straight shooting over 40% from three. Big athletic body.

Also came across some funny twitter thread yesterday that was all about some their that the Bulls are going to be trading for Gabriel Deck from OKC (6'10" Argentinian power-forward). Will try and find that link.

*Edit: Here's a link to an article on Gabriel Deck and his potential fit on the Bulls - https://ontapsportsnet.com/2021/08/31/a-unique-solution-to-the-bulls-power-forward-issues/

There is a discussion about him in this thread.

Seems better on offense than defense. I’m intrigued by him but would prefer a rim protector that can guard 4’s

I agree with some, we can play small ball for stretches strategically but still need a back up PF with a bit more size and length in case of injuries and for different matchups. I have no interest in watching Derozan defend someone like AD, I mean PWill is bad enough.

Is there a different Denzel Valentine that I'm not familiar with?
