I'm against Simmons on the Raptors if he continues to be stubborn and refuse to shoot.

I'm against a Simmons trade if OG and/or Pascal is involved.

If all it costs is Fred, Malachi and Boucher and 2 picks...I'm a little less against it.

Simmons lost his appeal to me when I realized he's right handed in everything besides shooting.

He's using his non dominant hand to shoot, can't fix that easily.

If Masai can swindle a Kawhi type deal for Simmons i wouldn’t be totally opposed.

Fred
Boucher
1st

Play completely positionless

Dragic/Trent/OG/pascal/Simmons Flynn/Barnes/Prescious

It would need work but the defensive potential could be legendary.

Fred would be the best player that the 76ers be getting because no-one is looking to give up anyone important for Simmons lol.

Wolves - don't want to part with Edwards, Russell, or Towns. although Edwards should be considered if the Wolves really want to contend (or Russell)

Kings - don't want to part with Haliburton or Fox. Haliburton overrated if the Kings don't want to move him for Simmons.

I would definitely trade FVV to see that lineup though - but I have a feeling that the Raptors would be worse off offensively - but hey - Simmons in a new environment, better coach - could be a key factor in his career. I have full faith that the Raptors could turn and churn out his potential. not to hate on FVV but Simmons' potential overall is much greater than FVV - so I would take that risk.

Id take that trade, dont love the idea of Simmons but I would love that defense. Combo Simmons/OG/Barnes/Siakam/ would be a terrifying combo.

Everyone keeps talking about this lineup. The only scary thing is the defence. Offence would be a total nightmare. Whos doing a pick and roll in this lineup? whos breaking down the first man and taking it to the hole to collapse defences. Whos taking the 3 point shot if we do OG 90% of the time? Don't even want to entertain that bum

Nets don't like rebounding I guess. I don't think Millsap and Griffin have what it takes to compete with the younger more agile bigs in the league. And they're trying to get rid of Jordan too!!

Beasley and Edwards for Simmons with Edward’s parlayed to a rebuilding team for a veteran starter.

Well the Wolves don’t won’t to give up Towns, Edwards or Russell so what do they actually have after that? Not much. The easiest trade for both teams would be Russell and pieces for Simmons. 76ers get their allstar and additional assets. Wolves get their guy that can transform their defence. The only reason this won’t happen is because Russell is Towns’ boy.

I thought Russell would be an all-star coming out of college because he had so much skill already at Ohio State (looked to be a really great flashy passer and 40% 3pt guy, it just hasn't translated) but his lack of defense and his ball stopping style just seem to have him written off by a lot of people. I wouldn't be 100% sure he wouldn't get benched in a tough playoff series for Curry's shooting or a developing Tyrese Maxey.

In theory, something like Russell and a 1st from Minny to Philly, Simmons to Minnesota and then a Minnesota firsts and Okogie to say OKC for Lu Dort (or any similar Minny pick and player to a rebuilding team for a wing who can start at the 3 for Philly) makes sense. But in practice, I'm not sure Philly would trust Russell for their title hopes over a guy like McCollum even though he's younger.
Russell was an all star

Has Kris Dunn been on half the teams in the NBA or does just feel that way?

Masai, the Nigerian-American Jahlil Okafor is now a free-agent.
I would take him over Gillespie in a millisecond (and would add Frank Ntilikina)to complete the roster. (until Dragic trade)
Jahlil is one curious case!

TLC signs a non-guaranteed contract with Atlanta? I've always been under the impression that he could be pretty decent.

I also thought this guy is not that bad to have as a bench player, only 26 and can shoot and defend. He did take a step back last year and was kind of the weak link in the Brooklyn rotation. My guess is if you are any type of fringe rotation piece you better be able to shoot it well and TLC is not that reliable. I just think it is weird Brooklyn opted for Bembry over TLC. Bembry must be considered a better defender but I haven't dug into that.

Toronto got Svi Michaluk on a partially guaranteed deal. He has a bit better shooting track record and is younger than TLC so I think we didn't miss out.

TLC is not great, he had SO may chances last year, and is already 26. I'd take Bembry too if I were them
