Michaels blocked me. Boo hoo
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

He's really had some issues with those non-compete's in his contracts he's signed over the years. If I recall, the WTMJ contract said he couldn't host a local show, so they created the fiction of "the network" to get around that at WSSP. Could be wrong on my facts though.

I think you're right. There's always been some gray area if a syndicated show can be "local" but I think it's always come down on the side of if a show is on a local radio station, regardless of where it originates, it's considered being on local radio. Therefore non competes are in play. I'm surprised WOKY didn't do proper vetting on this before putting him on the air. Maybe there will be some kind of settlement, as is often the case.

I had forgotten WOKY was all-sports. To be honest, I can't keep track of 920, 97.3, 94.5 and what's still on 620am anymore. At some point the consolidation will come. That said, the local teams are all so good, I'm guessing that may be another year off.

What's the context of his tweet? He blocked me too.

He’s calling WSSP lame for blocking him from working at WOKY due to his prior contract.

Re: Bucks Media Thread (Discussion of Bucks and sports media)
I for one will be crestfallen when Steve Novak returns to the broadcast later this year – and I felt this way even before the JS exposed his unique brand of learned buffoonery from our fair city's north shore. He looks like a douchebag, his voice is grating – you just know he spits when he talks, to the eternal consternation of anyone around him – and, in the words of the police lieutenant from the Mr. Bean movie, “his is an ass that I would dearly love to kick.”
(I’m still riding high on a serious case of celebration fever, just trying to keep my complaints in-shape for the upcoming season with some low-hanging fruit)

The only sports show intro to feature several likely deaths. I press the football helmet button and the maiming begins.

Why in the world would anyone make Michaels sign a non-compete clause? I would do my best to get him a job with a competing station.

Re: Bucks Media Thread (Discussion of Bucks and sports media)
Camp starts next week and we still have no idea who will be doing TV and radio PBP. Paschke announced his retirement months ago. And while Davis only recently announced it I'm sure he let the team know before that.
For TV I can't imagine they go with one of the current Bally Sports guys like Coshun or Novak. Coshun does a few Brewer games as a fill in but I can't imagine him doing Bucks PBP full time. And of course Novak is a hack as a color guy, he'd be a worse hack trying to do PBP.
I hope to God they don't try to resurrect Gus, even part time. He was terrible. So I'm expecting an unknown and that's fine. Could be a guy with a different team or someone doing college or someone totally off the radar. BA had done minor league baseball, golf and sideline reporter for the Spurs before getting the Brewers TV gig 15 years ago and he's worked out well.
Marques is 65 but has given no indication he won't be back. That's good.
Very curious to see who fills these rolls.

I hope Bucks brass have someone lurking who can relay the info that the most diehard Bucks fans CANNOT STAND NOVAK and, as a white person, nobody cares about his feel good, white boy making it big in Milwaukee story. You're billionaires. Stop being idiots.ReginaldDwight wrote:Would love to not see or hear Novak ever again.

Gus was sucking up super hard to the Bucks/Giannis at Summer League.
I'm good with most possible options as long as Novak isn't involved. Also helps that International League Pass always has an alternate option and with Tommy no longer doing Boston games, everyone, everywhere is now better than Novak.

Hey Bucks brass, try out a few guys from here. Would love to hear MD on the call and we could then go to an Art's Gentlemen's Club Timeout Break here on Bally Sports. After the break, hear from Chuck Diesel about some obscure international player that the Bucks should have their eyes on.
