I'd say Giddey+Muscala+FRPs would be the right package for Simmons

Have you seen much of Giddey? I’ve just seen a few highlights.

Only in NBL. He's got good size and BBIQ. I see him as an unlikely to fail prospect but his ceiling is limited. Think young Rubio when there was potential.

Hes a good prospect. Value wise its a good start. Though it would need to be a third team, as Philly needs now pieces

As a fan of Simmons to the Kings, I sincerely hope where he wishes to play will factor somewhat (cant believe the Kings are on his shortlist because of wanting to play in Cali).

While you would think 4 years wouldnt scare off many suitors we're in a new day with particular agents holding sway. So now your taking on someone who doesn't want to be there but an agent who can possibly dictate the success of your impending free agencies.

Maybe other teams will hold off on a pick or two

He could be pretty win now. He's had professional experience in the NBL. Did about as well as LaMelo did. Those guys with professional experience don't seem to have the same learning curve of other rookies.

He's also the right size and fit to slot in as a starting SF on Philly.

Curry, Green, Giddey, Harris, Embiid -- Maxey, Thybulle, Korkmaz, Reed, Drummond

It's not a slam dunk but he's a good prospect to help now and in future trade.

I mean if we’re discussing McCollum are Barnes/Hield that far behind? lol

Our picks might be more sought after

I actually proposed a three way trade in this very thread involving them, Fox, Simmons, and McCollum.

Portland trades: CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic, Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little
Portland receives: Ben Simmons, Kyle Kuzma, Thomas Bryant
The Blazers add a stretchy 5 and a stretchy-ish combo-forward to stretch the court out to maximize Simmons + Lillard.

Philadelphia trades: Ben Simmons
Philadelphia receives: CJ McCollum, Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little
Philadelphia gets a nice player who compliments their star, plus some young guys who are good enough to get minutes, or who could be flipped somewhere at the all-star break for someone.

Washington trades: Kyle Kuzma, Thomas Bryant
Washington receives: Jusuf Nurkic
Washington upgrades their center position fairly dramatically.

POR has no interest in Nurk for Kuzma and Bryant

If they trade for Simmons I don't feel like Nurkic is an ideal fit unless he dramatically increases his 3-pt volume.

If I'm Portland, I'm just going with the Philly part of the deal, and figuring out how to make it work with Nurk and Simmons on the floor.

Agreed. If 76ers would accept CJ, Anfernee, and Little for Simmons, Portland makes that trade and calls it a day. No reason to swap Nurkic for a C recovering from an ACL tear to land another F when that position is now secured.

I'm starting to think it's simply going to be Bev/Prince/McDaniels + tons of picks and letting Embiid get rest then the goal being to have possibly 2 2022 lotto picks plus a bunch of other picks and young players to offer for a bigger deal.

Alright, after multiple pods here’s the Kings offer

Buddy/Bagley/3firsts(light protection on last)/2swaps

This gives Philly the assets needed to make a run at the next star to come available. I think Philly either wants a star back (seems like it’s not happening) or assets to get a star in the not to distant future. And as we all know, Kings draft assets are gold.

It would certainly be a bold move to go for a one year tank. "Embiid needs this elective surgery, we swear!"

I'm here for it. Could Jo be talked into it? I don't see any way on the world Glenn Rivers signs off on that, but since this situation has a lot to do with him in the first place suck it up and enjoy cashing your checks.

i agree morey is going to come after draft picks to flip but its has to be 4 frps and 3 swaps with literally no protecttion.
if morey cant get a star now, it has to be star equivalent of distant unprotected future picks to exchange it.

barnes/hield plus 3 unprotected is a better offer than CJ whose value can plummet like simmons. remember harden trade, houston opted for bkn package only picks and this kind of resembles.

2 unprotected, one lotto protected. And there has to be a third team to take Bagley and Hield and give back a PG.

That being said, Minnesota almost certainly beats any Sacto offer without Fox or Haliburton involved.

I think he mistakenly has Hield as positive value.
