So Joel called up a Bay Area sports reporter to spread news that Ben isn't answering his phone calls? Kinda weird, could have just told Pompey.

Umm, when did Jo say that?

This is when the Ben smear campaign re-ignited and continued up until Embiid had to come out publicly and gaslight the entire situation.

Lol Benny fanboy strikes again. That's the same guy from San Francisco who "reported" that Ben wants to GSW. He obviously just throws the **** on the wall.

Everything from Ben's camp has been about getting him a new opportunity in a non-toxic environment.

The character assassination and alienation has been coming from everyone else. It took Maxey blurting out at summer league during an interview that he had in fact kept regular conversation with Ben and the initial "cut off the organization and everyone in it" narrative was far from the truth.

But now, months have passed, still no trade and teams are starting to prepare for training camp. The interest that was once there is dwindling and the organization has a lightbulb moment; wait a second - maybe we won't actually be able to get our ideal trade accomplished... Maybe Ben is going to have to come back to the Sixers, to this locker room. So Joel goes on a save-face PR twitter run trying to prepare for the inevitability Morey likely warned him about.

But this is silly. The ideal time to have gotten a trade done was Draft night, and Morey stuck to his guns. Let's see how far both sides are willing to bend before someone gives in.

Yeah I'm not sure i believe that especially from Dumas. When you said that I thought that it was directly from Jo. Dumas just had to walk back the stuff about Maxey.

I would rather swing on two under 25 20ppg scorers and find a way to get a 25 first than get a full chest of picks. If we get that first we can trade all of our own picks anyway

Its funny how the NBA rumor mill is so silent right now, if not for this Ben Simmons news. MSM makes all these memes and hot takes to spur views and clicks.

But Sixers fans dont care that much about Ben. Its more like, “if you want to leave then leave”. While the non-Sixers fans are like.. “who do you think you are? James Harden?”

Right now, im not reacting because some of these guys like Dumas just are taking advantage with this situation and want to be on the spotlight. I also dont know if Biid is just trying to cover things up.

All i know is the truth will come out. Not now, but years from now.

While there’s really no point discussing who to trade Ben for. I think we have exhausted all options and is just waiting the final result.

Agreed, funny enough though as everyone else is saying picks picks picks I’m kind of out on the all picks package. The amount of power players and agents have in today’s nba plus the not perfect publicity our team/fans have been getting this summer scares me to much. Who’s to say that someone isn’t just like yeah knicks only sorry? Then we’re left sitting with a 27/28 year old Embiid and a **** ton of mid level firsts

Nothing scares me. If embiid also wants to leave, then he may leave.

I look at how bogus the game is being played now and the amount of talent in the draft every year, it’s quite easy to build a winning team (similar to ours, not saying a championship team) nowadays.

Prior to this season, I was OK (not saying im pushing for it) if we can get picks, Jalen Green and Cade Cunningham for Biid and Ben.

IMO the league made it wide open for anyone to win it every season and really prevented teams to form dynasties. Player movement will be volatile while teams can always have a card for a shift into “win now mode” by trading 3-4 picks for a single player that could change entirely the landscape of the league.

We look at player empowerment like it’s a negative force, but it could be a positive force for us on the right time. While at worst, I find comfort (better expected value than before) in the draft

At worst, just take a breather.

Warriors and Raps did it and now they’re back. The game is so easy nowadays while players are as skilled as ever has been.

Bigs develop their perimeter game, roll man and mobility skills prior entering the league. So does guard, their shooting, PnR skills and ISO. There’s just little adjustments going into the league while the college game, International and the GLeague tries to run NBA style offense so it’s easier to scout on a player than trying to guess if he can adapt to Nba style of play.

We’re sixers fans. We trust the process when we think it’s the right process for us to win a championship. And sometimes taking a breather is the right process.

I would just rather take a couple harden esque type shots on guys like Sexton and Beasley plus add enough draft capital like 2 swaps and maybe a 25 first so that we have some ammo and full flexibility. Maybe one of those guys REALLY breaks our. And if not we get a sign and trade with sexton and maybe a pick and a big exception next offseason, and Beasley is on an affordable deal. If sexton goes on a crazy upward trajectory and turns into a lead guard primary guy then we have Maxey and a bunch of firsts to find another guy

Maybe the best thing, at this stage is to trade him indeed for young players (try to go after Anthony Edwards) and maybe a pick.

Than play Maxey, Edwards, Thybulle, Reed and Springer a lot this season, let Joel sit out a lot of games (rest his meniscus or whatelse you want to call it) and ... TANK for next years draft.

Get a good pick, and try to use that pick and one/two of our young guys (Maxey/Springer) that were highlighted (together with Tobias?) to really get a star in next year's summer. I'm pretty sure Dame will want to get out of Portland finally than. Not to say we will have some cap flexibility if we could move Tobias.

Who knows we could have a line-up of
Dame
Edwards
Thybulle
XXX
Embiid

Simmons for Sexton, Rubio, Windler and 2 unprotected firsts see if the Cavs do that.

If they say they’ll give us two unprotected firsts you do it and don’t look back.

Rubio
Sexton
Green
Harris
Embiid

6th man: Curry

That’s actually not a bad lineup at all.

Do you really think that Embiid after what he did last season, will agree to just punt a season? He is in his prime.

Then next year hit the lotto draft Banchero at 2, move Harris for spare parts.

You wanted final form Ben? Well there’s one in next years draft.

Think Pistons All NBA year MVP votes Griffin.

He’s like a huge Cade or Bulky Tatum but best match is Pistons Griffin.

So win win with another pick next year. Surely Cavs aren’t that dumb though lol.

Permission to reply?

Personally I think he wouldnt ideally want it to happen. Like I think Embiid hopes alternative options like playing with Dame or just run it back. But between playing a worse team last season and just punting, I think he’d choose punting. That is unless he cares more about himself than the team.

How about Doc & Morey do their fkn jobs

Simmons & Rich Paul are dicks but he’s got a 4 year contract

I think Markkanen and Mobley fits well with Ben.

I realistically think it would be something more like..

Ben
Shake

For

Sexton
Love
2022 pick swap from Cavs

If Cavs thinks they are at the short end, then Sixers adds Springer (i dont like that kid)

I say no to that deal and hang up the phone. Love’s contract is where I’d want extra dividend. Sexton is an expiring and FA is abound no dice.

Pick swap for a bad contract and a free market man is what I wouldn’t do. Ben has the full 4 so his value (even though media and people are nuffs nuffs) has solidarity behind it.

Love is touch and go to even play.

Essentially I’m up for doing the full Monty if two lotto bound picks came back. My primary move is two picks, swaps, Milton/Springer as a nice hook line, whatever 2 picks that’s the prize.

If no then move on. Plenty of other teams to trade with.

Damn I wanted Wall + Pick 2 (Green) for Hill and Simmons lol.

Ah well Jalen you’re still one of my boys but it’s Banchero time.

Then the year after that someone will show me the stuff.
