DAJ dumped...your thoughts?

Motown, Mo' Problems: Nets win. They put millions in the bank and add to their TPE stash for future moves.

Doum-BOOYAH: Pistons win. They spent capspace they didn't need to get multiple 2nd rounders that they did.
4
11%
Net Gains: both teams win. Nets save a fortune off a bench player, Pistons re-stock the asset shelves.

Err Jordan: both teams lose. Detroit got bad value and if the Nets are trading they should have looked for *some* on-court help.

Even really rich guys don't like paying $50M for nothing. Great asset grab by the Pistons. Great job saving a ton of money for cheap by the Nets.

My type of small, money motivated deal so you know I love it lol.

Also DAJ ends up a Laker and Gasol ends up?

Ugh Gasol would be a great fit in GS but no way LA agrees to send him our way.

Sekou is a good get by Nets here.

Would love Gasol pretty much anywhere.

I won't understand the Lakers moving on for Jordan, but I guess.

This was necessary for the Nets and great for the Pistons, good deal.

I mean I was thinking they just bought him out and have no say. But I guess if a team he wants to play for will give a 2nd, LA would take it.

Or maybe they won't. But I get the idea that relationship isn't great.

Nets have too many players. Who gets cut? Beside Okafor of course.

Great deal for the Nets.

For Detroit, this basically recoups the 2nds they gave away getting the #19 pick last year. So overall that deal was effectively Kennard + Sekou + eating $20M or so in dead money (they ate some on the original deal as well as Jordan's money) for #19. Which is horrible value for a generic #19 pick but Bey looks good enough that it's not a disaster.

Hopefully stays in LA, but doubting it since he wants more burn. GSW is my guess if and when he's waived.

Who knew that Jordan and Griffin would both be dead money contracts on the same team by the 2021-22 season......

I thought maybe the Pistons throw in Josh Jackson instead of Seko based on the numbers and thought the Pistons might want to still give Seko a chance to develop.

None the less, a good trade for both teams based on two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum, one trying to save tax $ and the other in asset hoarding mode.

I wonder if OKC had interest in those 4 2nds, along with Jordan, for one of their eligible TPEs........

Certainly possible. But there is still a spot for him in the NBA if he wants it. Dallas finished 2nd to the Lakers when he signed with them as a FA last off-season. Would love him to still want to be here. Gladly waive one of the other 5 centers to make a spot for him. Though I would expect him to choose some other teams over Dallas.

Look like I will be eating Crowe. Think Gasol has one more year before he is forced into retirement in the NBA

Woj saying it will be Alize Johnson. They like him, but with James Johnson and Paul Millsap just signed, it was a fairly easy call.
