the question is if he is an upgrade over claxton, whose position/minutes he takes

Still, a good problem to have Prok. Adding another perimeter scoring big in the mix will not hurt.

I would normally agree, but i dont trust nash to manage it. i fear, like last year, he will bury claxton/defenders to have 4-5 shooters at all times.

We added Millsap, Aldridge and Doumboya in the span of 72 hours.

Does the Alize move make room for Aldridge, or does someone else have to get moved?

I'm gonna go ask Pistons fans what they think of him. I haven't seen him play since he was drafted and his numbers are so bad I'd advocate waiving him right now.

You could make the same argument for Bruce Brown.

Going to be interesting to see which direction we go here but I think we should keep him and develop him at 6’9. He could switch SF/PF and considering his athleticism is off the charts, he should be considered a project that could be a quality contributor for the Big 3 as they age. Similar to Bruce Brown, Thomas and Clax.

We need to consider our future after this season and getting this kid, should be the route we go into trying to assemble youth around KD/James/Kyrie. Hell, even if we still have Blake in the next 2-3 years. We need to add guys who have some upside.

This feels like Bruce Brown 2.0

Harden/Mills/Carter
Irving/Bembry/Thomas
Durant/Harris/Brown
Griffin/Milsap/Johnson
LMA/Claxton/Sharpe

This is a loaded roster.

Durant at the three is still a bad idea. We're way way better playing him in his natural 4 spot.

If Marks wants to develop him, I have no complaint because he's only 20 years old. However, his numbers are really bad even for a 20 year old prospect with his height and length.

Nah.

Durant is a natural 3, even in today's small ball explosion. He can play the 4 or even the 5, and obviously he'll excel because he's that good.

Look at the Milwaukee series, for example. Kevin cannot do anything to stop Giannis and he was only pretty good defensively against their 5's. Against Khris, he was an absolute stopper, and he still got his offensive numbers like he would against anyone.

One of the big takeaways from that series was that Milwaukee steamrolled is whenever Middleton attacked Joe. It was a mismatch that they targeted in high-leverage situations, and it was money for them.

LMA looked great during his short stint with us last season. If he can bring more of the same he'll definitely be a starter.
