Re: ATL - Camps Open 9/28
Didn't give up much but Boston continuing their weird offseason of "shuffling deck chair" type moves and I don't know how to feel about it. I guess they're finally just giving up on the dream of luring a max free agent there in the next *checks notes*, 3 years? Even if one of Tatum/Brown makes another leap, that's just kind of an ok roster core to lock yourself into. Not sure Juancho is even worth his salary.

I liked Doumbouya when he first began earning playing time, he could turn it around if he played that way always. Not sure what happened. But they can use players that have the knack to hustle for boards.

Even though they didn’t need to, the nets had a really good offseason.

I get that he was pretty terrible but are the Pistons really in a position to be punting on a 20-year old guy they picked #15 just a couple years ago? He must have looked pretty hopeless. Outside of maybe the 2024 WAS one, those 2nd rounders are essentially worthless.

He was a project pick by the old regime. He’s been pretty damn awful on the floor and I don’t think the new regime was interested in giving him any more minutes. Great athlete, terrible basketball player.

Everyone questioned Doumboya's motor before the draft, I couldn't believe they picked him there. There's no cure for laziness.

They've had an awful offseason, they haven't addressed a single need, and burned future assets.

Edit: too late lol

Wonder how much longer Gasol will be on the Lakers?

He had his moment of not being lazy. If he applied himself like he did for that stretch he'd be a good player.

The kid the BKN waived to make room for Okafor and Sekou, Alize Johnson, is likely better than both. And he actually showed promise as a multi-position defender. BKN continues their offseason of bringing in guys who don't address any of their needs while also being injury prone.

It's shocking the Lakers decided to sign DAJ. He's absolute crap. You could pick a random G-Leaguer and he'd probably help you more.

The Mavs would probably pay you to take a better C than DAJ.

Getting mills and Johnson, while also bringing Blake, brown and Aldridge back is really good to me. They added more players that can play in a series and that’s the only thing that’s important to a team like that. Getting rid of Jordan and shamet for guys who should be able to contribute against most teams is a plus to me.

He is one of the more beloved teammates in the league. Lakers have some prickly personalities that will need to mesh. This isn't about getting minutes ahead of the 9 Cs they already have; its about the locker room.emunney wrote:LuessiT wrote:It's shocking the Lakers decided to sign DAJ. He's absolute crap.
