It has been shared on Twitter. There’s a sound bite of Kevin O’Connor’s podcast saying he and others like Bodner have heard that Cleveland is a dark horse for Ben.

I’d trade Benita for Sexton even up but I doubt Clev will. Could you imagine how he’d thrive with Joel? Wow!!

Idk I think a Sexton, Rubio, salary filler, 2 firsts and 2 swaps is a good gamble. He’s 22, I definitely see all of the concerns but guys have made way bigger jumps than that. If we’re getting picks, swaps, and expirings I’m willing to take one less pick and get him instead

Main priority is the two unprotected firsts :). I mean we get Banchero/Chet or heaven forbids Victor the year after? Down for pick swaps (ours sucks going late, Cavs will be top lotto range).

Winning!

I wanted goddamn Wall + Pick 2 (Green) for Simmons and Hill.

That would be genius now lol

Philly Out: Simmons, Lakers 2024 or 2025 pick via NOLA
Philly In: Ingram

NOLA Out: Ingram
NOLA In: Brogdon, Warren & unprotected Sixers 2024 pick and Indy Top 4 protected pick

Indy Out: Brogdon, Warren
Indy In: Simmons

Personally, I'm a big fan of Brogdon and Warren and I'd gamble on the health concerns (plus could be a good stealth tank) but I get a lot of folks here don't care for them so flipped them to NOLA. NOLA really doesn't have a viable PG who can defend the perimeter and Brogdon fills that hole nicely while Warren gives you some of what they lose in Ingram.

Now you’re speaking my language :).

Though I want to do the sneaky Harris/Maxey/Thybulle and picks lol.

Embiid/Ingram/Simmons should really be the trio that’s a cold lineup imo.

I’d do Ben and a first for Ingram. Sixers traded their 2025 protected pick so might have to be 2023 pick if I remember correctly. If we end up trading a first, I want it to be our next available pick. I don’t want to trade picks down the line when Joel might not be here. I’d rather pay the debt while a healthy Joel gets us 50+ wins and the pick is in the 20s.

That trade wouldn't have been made by Raf Stone in a million years so.

Dumb trades happen all the time. For such a risk adverse environment GM’s really do poop the bed on trades and draft selections, contracts and asset management.

Morey traded Capela. Zero excuses in my book and he’s had the best record in the W/L column since entering.

Blunders happen frequently so jump on any and all of them imo.

When everyone is fearful be greedy, when everyone is happy be concerned sort of deal.

I mean our scout board here which is a tiny fraction of the the best place in the whole forum has the book on the draft formula. Half the clubs have NFI compared to others.

Sexton, Love, and a first for Ben, and an add on. Yes....Do it. Collin Sexton would be great here.

Things to keep in mind about Sexton:

- He's barely 6'2"
- He's not a good slasher.
- He's not a willing shooter.
- He's not a willing passer.
- He makes no plays defensively.

Six years and the front office did the hardest bit you could ever do in the NBA and that’s get the championship cornerstone (Embiid). They come around once in a decade or more.

Fun fact Lillard for example is not one. More successful but not the championship cornerstone.

Building team around him is easy. It’s just stupidity now lol

Wise man told me in Sports you’ll see real success when you’re young, when you’re middle aged and when your well old. But none of it is guaranteed to win it’s that you’ll have a real chance at the prize.

If the front office doesn’t believe Embiid is that then start again but I personally bet the former.

Lesser talent is very recyclable in Sports.

Ben should have been gone ages ago. Now it’s a problem and what’s ironic is he isn’t even the biggest problem atm.

I have no time for overpaid middling players young or old without an angle at play.

No like they literally came out and said they'd rather bottom out than toil in the middling ranks with Simmons. The fact that you (and essentially everyone else from this side) would do that deal without hesitation, should be enough of an indication that it's unreasonably lopsided.

Still a better prospect than Maxey is. I keep it clear above board. One can shoot and can score well, one is a hypothetical.

You want to the solve the biggest problems at hand first. Our hands are forced no doubt got to make do with what’s at stake.

We are closer to the rebuild timeline than a contending one currently.

Morey has a huge mountain to climb, the two elephants in the room need to go.

Six plus years now, with Sports always go for broke or you’ll end with a decades worth with nothing to show for it.

Treadmill is the worst place to be in.

Sexton is neither an ace creator or a bomber. Ontop of not having a well-rounded game and being tiny.

He can run pick and roll and he's fierce. But he's not a guy I'm handing the keys of the offense to.
