Incredible shooter. But gives up more on defense than he provides in offense.

Still wished the Raptors gave him more minutes.

I've been chirping for another shooting guard. We need a guy who can give our bench some shooting while Coby is recouping. Thomas on a 2-way seems like the perfect plan. I've seen his name out there, but I don't know much about him.

edit - ugh, he went to Iowa State.

They can play him at PF to replace the Markkanen role.

Career per 36:
Thomas 16.0p 4.9r 1.9a 41.3%3p
Markkanen 19.0p 8.6r 1.5a 36.6%3p

I'm surprised they didn't sign a PF. Hopefully Simonovic plays well this year.

Would kind of prefer him to Stanley Johnson, maybe they find a way to open up a roster spot if he does well in preseason

The old Guard must have asked AK if they could choose to sign one player.

Great Guy, Great Shooter. However, the rest of his game needs improvement. Another Steve Novak type specialist.

He seems to have been an amazing shooter in Spain, shooting around 45 percent from three.
However, someone just mentioned his defense is horrible. Shame. I thought he could be a keeper.
Can't hurt to give him an invite and see what he's got. Nothing is guaranteed. Maybe Thomas will surprise us.

He also shot 25.6% from 3 last season. Not sure where this great shooter is coming from. His rookie season was great and he seems to be regressing now which is why no team picked him up.

Is Thomas even eligible for a 2-way? He would definitely be the oldest, most experienced 2-way guy I can remember.

It's coming from his seasons in Europe for the most part, but he also shot 41.3% in his first 2 NBA seasons combined. That's pretty good, although his volume in NBA has been far too low to draw conclusions either way.

For example, the 25.6% you mentioned are only his Utah numbers from last season. That's 19 games and 39 attempts.
