Cam Reddish….

Post#1 » by Blazers20 » Sat Jul 31, 2021 3:13 am

Is he a good fit with the Blazers and do they have the assets to get him?

Reddish has his warts but he’s the kind of player POR should grab if can.

Probably more of a rebuilding move.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Problem is I think the hawks would look for 1 of 2 things. Either draft picks or affordable cost controlled players, Portland has essentially neither as I think Atlanta probably values him more than Portland’s 1st rounder next year. Also with the lillard stuff not settled I really don’t think it’s wise to be dealing 1st round picks. Hawks are in a good position with so many good young players but they need to strike for another star while they still have these young guys and they don’t hit free agency. Good problem for them to have, shows if Portland does hit the rebuild and can play it smart and draft well it doesn’t have to take forever to be good again

Cam is not very good, I doubt it would cost much to get him but you also have to ask yourself why you are getting him. A future first is likely more valuable than Reddish. Nassir Little has had a better showing than Reddish. Both of those are cheaper than Reddish as well.

Blazers gave up 2 firsts for RoCo and 1 for Nance and both don’t move the needle much. Curious if you would had put those 3 picks and CJ what you could had gotten instead?

Cam is a 6’8 athletic wing and he’s only 22 years old.

Reddish is one of those guys who peaked in high school. He was so much better than his local peers and believed the hype that he got into the habit getting by on tools and athleticism. At the NBA level there is no lack of guys with his physical tools but who also have a motor

Reddish would be one of those really nice bargin basement Olshey finds... He's got talent... but I suspect he's worn out his welcome in ATL.

If healthy Reddish will have productive season, definitely better than any Blazers bench players.

Reddish in 3 games averaging almost 19 points a game off the bench. He might have star potential.

ATL is high on Cam. It would take an overpay to get him.
