The competitiveness of guys like Wilt and Jordan are why they can't admit someone else is better than them. It's mostly ego, but it's also part of their competitive advantage - which is supreme confidence. It's rare for people like them to be humble.

As opposed to the 175 pound taxi drivers that Jordan played against?

MJ paid against top level athletes, giants you dont even see in the game today.

cool, some Wilt interviews.

Is that young Mike North in there interviewing Wilt?
I'd like to see that whole interview.

Here's the full Charlie Rose one (12min)
https://charlierose.com/videos/7422

Having never seen Wilt play all I can do is marvel at his stats and compare them and records and titles.

Being lucky enough to watch all of MJ's career - the thing that always stands out is how hard he battled to get to the top of the mountain and then once he made it up there - No One was able to push him off. No One.

I feel like Wilt, Russel, Kareem, Magic, Kobe, Bird and sure if you want to add LeBron.
All those guys reached that same peak - but they were pushed off by the next great.

MJ stayed up there, took a break for a couple of years and then climbed right back up and scaled back down himself.

You’re right about that. We don’t see players like this in the league anymore.

Even 35-year-old Jordan would dunk on Wilt.

What was the point of posting that pic? Are you trying to compare Dikemebe to Wilt?

What’s next, Rudy Gobert = Kareem?

I have Wilt as #4, but leading the 2nd tier behind MJ/LBJ/KAJ
Needed more titles-no matter the stats
