Hey guys or anyone else, what are your thoughts on this team? I had the 10th pick out of 12 teams, standard scoring. Biggest decision I had to make was go for Kelce over Harris in Round 2. Participants with 11th (Taylor and Ekeler) 12th pick (Barkley and Gibson) went double RBs. I went Diggs first. Not sure if I made the right decision..time will tell.
QB-Lamar Jackson
WR-Diggs
WR-Beckham Jr
WR-Golladay
RB-Carson
RB-Jacobs
TE-Kelce
Flex-Ronald Jones II
K-Blankenship
DEF-CLE
Bench
RB-Fournette
WR-Callaway
WR-T Williams-DET
WR-Marvin Jones Jr
QB-Trey Lance
Not a huge fan of your team tbh. There is just so little depth at RB. I have a hard time not taking a RB (in any circumstance) in a non super flex league.
The whole Jacobs thing is going to be interesting this year. Let's see what work Drake gets week 1...if he's not effective or part of the passing game it's a different story
I just had my first 1 QB league draft and took 3 RBs with my first 3 picks...and there were 14 teams. I then stacked up on WRs and got Herbert in the 5th (he wasn't the top QB on the board but I am a Chargers fan..needed him in at least one league).
So I ended up with Herbert, Ekeler, Mixon, Carson and then at WR, Woods, Sutton, Marvin Jones Jr, Curtis Samuel, Will Fuller.
I also got the best backup QB in Tannehill and was the last to get TEs (Hunter Henry and Jared Cook).
From what I've read about the Chargers training camp, Cook is the guy the Athletic beat writer is most surprised about. I remember him writing (upon signing him) that he would mainly be a blocking back but watching training camp he said he is the guy he expects to surprise most people on offense.
I also think the Patriots will throw a ton to both TEs. I will probably usually start Cook though unless I am convinced it's the wrong move and Henry (who I think is really good) stays healthy and starts really performing big. Mainly because I think Cook is the main guy for the Chargers but Parham was really good in certain situations last year.
But ultimately, the point of my post is I always stack up on RBs early...it's pretty rare I take a WR very high..certainly not with one of my first 2 picks unless maybe I am in an 8 team league or something, but I still usually go for the RBs. Too big of drop off at RB after about the top 15 or 20 whereas there are like 40-50 decent receivers...if not more...some usually come out of nowhere too and can be picked up.
