The 1st 2 moves by Nico (Bullock and Brown) were something you want from your FO, find a player under the radar, who's affordable, especially in limited resources team like the Mavs, and a good fit.
I like the signing a lot.

Moses Brown is still kinda raw though. He's slow, doesn't seem to set too many picks, has below average feel and awareness, plus he can get tunnel vision when he has the ball in his hands. But I like his length and ability to block and rebound. He can finish too, so long as he keeps it simple. Sometimes, he tries to do too much though. However, I like that they got him as a throw-in for JRich. That's a solid get right there. But, the Mavs should also be concerned about why OKC and Boston gave up on him, why things didn't work out for him in Portland, and why he went undrafted. He has come a long way, but there's still a lot more work to do. Learning from Boban will be great for him though, because Boban keeps it simple, and that's what Moses needs to do.

Bullock is a great fit. 3D player who does both well. That's a major upgrade over JRich, who was below average from 3, and has less length than Bullock on defense. JRich prolly plays passing lanes better than Bullock, but I do think Bullock is more of a lockdown defender than JRich. And while JRich is a better playmaker and ball handler than Bullock, they don't need Bullock to do those things, and JRich wasn't a guy you wanted doing those things too much anyway. I do with Josh well though.

I was talking about Sterling Brown :) Moses Brown from reports was forced onto the Mavs, Celtics didn't want him.

Loving the moves so far and especially not overspending on the overrated older and ready for retirement home free agents. We have a younger star we need younger guys who can fit with Lukas timeline for winning rings

From what I've seen of him, and excellent signing.

Bullock says playing against Mavericks made him want to play for them.

“Being with the Knicks last year — we made it to the playoffs — but I see [Dallas] as a team that has taken that next step to be in the postseason,” Bullock said. “I felt like the skill set that I have was easy for me to be able to make this move to be able to come back down here and be around a great organization and a great city around great fans and just bring my game here.”

Bullock makes the Mavericks better. And he is where he wants to be.

Bullock is a low risk small move like Delon/Seth/J-Rich ecc ecc before him, sometimes the things goes well and sometimes not. We are in the same path than last 2/3 years, nothing change.
Every FO makes some kind of moves every year, often is all about lucky.

I like a good old 3D guy and I think Luka will enjoy playing with him, but we are not close to getting that number 2 guy. Bullock does not move the needle.

Loved watching him gradually earn more playing time here in Detroit. He's a solid add.

Sadly you guys doubting him are right but as a useful player he’s better than J Rich and I’d love to have him as a backup to THJ

Other then his good defense, what I like about Bullock is his quick release. It makes it a lot harder to hard close to him unlike players with slow releases like Maxi and J-Rich.

Call me ole-fashioned or whatever but the main thing I dislike about this signing is Reggie's hairstyle. It looks like a dead cat/squirrel/skunk on his head. He's a decent contributor who fits what the team needs and his salary seems reasonable too. Wish he'd cut it... but to each their own.

Overpaid bench player on questionable fit role. J-Rich, D-Wright are all 11M per bench warmer in uncomfortablerole. At 30, I think it is rather difficult to keep pace with random PGs that are a lot quicker. There's no guaranteed that the shooting performance could repeat as well: playing defense against much quicker players take away energy but getting more frustrated without rhythm to excel. Meanwhile, if Hardaway is moved for a starter at different position, then this moves might be worthwhile.

Looks good on paper. We will see what happens in October. I don't have much confidence after the JRICH diabolical but there are different coaches here now.

Of the 8 or so role players on this team Bullock might be our best.
We did nothing to improve our core though.
Dirk did it with a zero all-star supporting cast so maybe/hopefully Luka can do it as well.
