Have no idea how Fernandez is surviving this. What a competitor.

This UW-KENTUCKY women's volleyball match is good.

I've said it before but volleyball is super underrated. People really need to give it a chance.....and not just the pervy guy watching pretty girls chance. High level volleyball is a great sport.MickeyDavis wrote:This UW-KENTUCKY women's volleyball match is good.

Re: OT: General OT Thread [NO POLITICS OR RELIGION]
I ended up countering at 8% over their offer (but in a nice way) and they gave me 4% over which ended up at the maximum of the original range that the recruiter told me so it all worked out.
I am done teaching in 4 weeks. Can’t believe it. **** dealing with other people’s kids.

Yep, it's an amazing sport. I didn't start playing until after college but I love it and still play in some really competitive leagues around Madison both sand and indoor. It just ages way the hell better than basketball does. I haven't played competitive basketball since pre-Covid.
My daughter just started volleyball this year (7th grade) and is loving it. My wife was a pretty good player (still is) and my daughter is probably going to be around 6-0 so I hope she sticks with it.

Grocery store just did a moment of silence for 09/11. I was aware it was today but didn't hit much until that. Still messed up after 20 years.

I used to have a team in the same league as your business partners way back in the day. I never remember if it was Bowling Green or Keva.LUKE23 wrote:jute2003 wrote:I've said it before but volleyball is super underrated. A friend got me into volleyball in college and I got pretty good... I could play in power leagues and not completely embarass myself or be one of the better players in a high intermediate league. Unfortunately, my shortness and average athleticism hasn't kept me overly competitive now that I rarely play. Well, that and I have stones for hands and can't set to save my life.

I still play with both of them in CoEd 6's at Ten Pin and the guy in Men's Power 4's at Bowl-A-Vards (sand) and Power Co-Ed 6's at Stoner Prairie (indoor). We are getting up there for that men's 4's league (early 40's, most of the teams are mid 20's to early 30's) but still can hang. And lets be honest, half of volleyball is the drinking.

Re: OT: General OT Thread [NO POLITICS OR RELIGION]
I've played at ten pin a handful of times and like their setup quite a bit. Anymore, I prefer indoor because I can still pretend like I can jump. I liked doing the open gyms that some of the local rec departments put together before covid. If the right people showed up, it could be pretty good games.LUKE23 wrote:jute2003 wrote:I used to have a team in the same league as your business partners way back in the day.
