College Football 2021 Pacer Freak Picks

Post#1 » by Pacers_Freak » Thu Aug 26, 2021 3:44 pm

I'm back with my college football picks this year. Last year was a solid year and hoping to keep it going. Week 0 provides a few opportunities for us to dip our toe in the water before everyone starts next week.

Illinois/Nebraska over 55 (1 unit)
Fresno -27.5 (1 unit)
Fresno -15.5 1st half (1 unit)

Your first bet falls a tad short...Nebraska can't do anything at the end.

Huge wins with Fresno though.

If you saw my performance last week you may want to follow from afar.

Pacers Freak...did you come out ahead $ wise last year? I saw you were 57-53-1 going into the final week but with juice it seems like that would be a slightly losing season.

I think you generally need to hit 55% to break even and you hit a little less than 52%, depending on your final week. Of course this also assumes you bet the same one each game.

And if you miss parlays obviously that adds to losses, though hits are nice.

I think the NFL is easier. And maybe baseball over/unders but I don't follow baseball much anymore.

Easy to say because I didn’t post it but honestly I came out a bit ahead because I didn’t post units last year.

Bettors always love betting on the favorites. Iowa is a big exception this week

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Went 6-4 on the weekend. More importantly ended +6.5 units. I forced the Kansas game and hate that I did that and got hit by the hook in the Ohio State game. Back in the green for the season. 11-12 and +0.2 units.

I bet UF and took the 14.5 pts - I don't know what I'm thinking when I bet against Alabama.

Oregon is absolutely going to crush AZ. The spread looks like it's moved above 4 tds, but AZ lost to BYU, got beat by SDSU by 23 and nearly lost to NAU who any big conference team should crush. Oregon is far and away the best team they've played. Not saying to bet on Oregon but just letting you know.

Not sure how I misread that. I have a hard time getting into college football given that games are meaningless for the most part. 4 teams make the playoffs but if you are not ranked to begin the year, you pretty much have to go undefeated to make it, so if you get 1 loss early you are likely out unless you run the table, and it's still unlikely.

If you are ranked to begin the season you can lose 1 early and still make the playoff, as usually a couple do. But 2 losses and you are almost certainly eliminated from playoff contention.

Bowl victories have always felt meaningless to me.
