He's an NBA level talent without NBA level athleticism. Hope he does well and stays healthy.

Like Lauri, his development was stunted by injuries. He has a tremendous offensive skillset, but hasn't been able to figure out to put it all together in a role. He seems to lack BBIQ.

One of the slowest perimeter players of the modern era. I could kinda understand drafting him (though it was too high), but picking up his options and playing him for years undee two FOs after he showed his severe physical limitations was bizzare. He makes a faur amount of sense as a very end of bench player. Despite trashing him for years I kinda wanted him back at the minimum, perhaps instead of Stanley.

I hated the pick when they took him. It was emblematic of one of Pax’s main downfalls; we desperately needed athletic 2 way players and he just couldn’t resist the safe college “winner” from a blue chip program.

No. One of my least favorite Bulls of all time, and yes, part of that is GarPax’s utter lack of imagination w/the pick.
I’ve already stated this in the last Valentine thread. But I can’t stand Valentine that much.
Two appreciation threads for Denzel Shaqtin Valentine.

when Valentine's shot was falling; he was an amazing shooter.
Too bad he took long shots even when he should not have.
He could really shoot the rock, though.

Looking at his draft, there weren’t many quality players left. LeVert went 20 and Siakam at 27 but it’s hard to blame GarPax when those other teams passed too.

Re: Valentine appreciation thread (signed with CLE)
I did not like the pick when we made it. But then again, I wanted either Wade Baldwin, who is out of the league, or TLC, who is a fringe NBA player just like Denzel.
I still think he could be useful as a end of the bench kind of guy, but in a more stabilished group. I don't believe he's equipped to be a veteran leader in such a young roster.

Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

When we took him, my post was that he was exactly the type of player they covet.

Yup. Of course, so was Brogdon - similar profile - and it was the latter who performed/translated.

Always wanted Lavert and as a follower of the B1G I knew Val had already blew up his ankle a few times and wouldn't have any athleticism in the NBA. Oh well, good riddance. He did have some funny moments and didn't he go off for like 25 one game?

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.
