Who would've thought pre-pandemic that the most interesting superstars on RAW/Smackdown was going to be Orton and Reigns? They've both been killing everything they've done since then.

Yes to reigns. Never been huge on Orton but matt riddle is a great muse for him. I hope they actually ride this out for a bit and not do the predictable Orton turn.

Also, I really like Mansoor.

Mansoor reminds me of a bit of Riddle - without being as goofy - but not quite as talented - not that he isn't talented but Riddle's a phenom.

Big E being the main guy on Raw would make the show way better instantly

+1000. I'm glad Lashley got his run and frankly this went better than I ever thought it could from maybe the most generic performer on their roster up to that point. But he just isn't compelling as a character, just as a pseudo monster and MVP isn't that great a manager. If they didn't think The Hurt Business needed to be only black guys they could have added Seamus/Cesaro to the faction and it would have had more staying power.

I don't know if Big E can be a top guy, but I'd sure love for him to be given the opportunity. He can go in the ring and he's got some charisma.

Yikes to it all. There’s something missing with Lashley, even with MVP as the mouthpiece, agreed. He’s just never been charismatic — not as a talker, nor with his body language. I like Cesaro but he’s so bland, overall. The same can be said about Sheamus, but even more so. You put those guys with Lashley and it gives him the rub of their energy/fan perception.

Big E is all comedy (and not good comedy). Just goofy and silly in every segment, and it’s just not the kind of act you want to be your heavyweight champ. His act is old and stale, and I’ve certainly grown weary of it. I’m not against him getting the opportunity in a top position, but I am against it so long as he has the same character that he has for the past 6+ years.

I'd be on board for Big E if he tones the goofiness down and brings back 5 count

I love to see a guy who has worked as long as Big E has get his due.

With that said, it was so choreographed with all the talk of it and then the Orton match ending with like 8 mins left. Last couple cash ins have been anything but surprises. I like the out of nowhere ones a lot more. And then that commercial was horrible. Respect the product. It’s a WWE title cash in. Show the whole thing.

All in all- cool story, horrible execution.

Can't wait for the promos now. Wonder who will be in the hunt for Big E Langston's title considering it looks like The Hurt Business will be in for a feud with RKBro

WWE's choreographed? Say it ain't so! The ratings will tell if it was horrible execution, and I don't think there's any question that E talking about it ahead of time brought more people in. And the segment with him talking to New Day about it was great. It all kept people wanting to watch and boosted E's image, imo.

So for New Day as a group, since 2019, that's a World Heavyweight Championship reign, Universal Championship reign, multiple tag title runs and intercontinental reign. That's some elite accomplishments for a 3 man group. And that's not even talking about being merch powerhouses.

It was a cool moment to see. We’ll see where it goes from here. That was a great crowd/social media reaction, for sure. Lashley had a nice long reign and they did right by him losing while compromised after a hard fought match. If Big E was a little more serious I think they could’ve gone for a “Big E avenges Kofi/Woods” storyline/match at the PPV.

Lashley very likely leaves Raw in the draft, and with the upcoming Reigns/Lesnar program, it’ll be interesting to see how raw feels after the draft. Edge is going to raw and it gives him a good opportunity to win the title, because let’s be serious, he was never taking that title off Reigns.

That’s fair. Choreographed wasn’t a good word. Obvious is more of my annoyance. They mentioned it all night.

As for bringing people in, if that was the plan is probably worked to get a good number. I just prefer surprise moments.

And then I hated that commercial break. You have the numbers, that commercial break gets big money. I get the economics. But if just felt like it cheapened the moment.

I felt when they booted Shelton and Cedric, they should have replaced them with Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic (spell?) And had those two guys ravage thru the tag team division. Would have been pretty over imo
