Finding the MyTeam solo stuff surprisingly fun though.
I felt the same way for awhile with 2K21. There's just too damn many button combos to do things. Maybe I'm just old, but I don't really need button combos to do 17 different types of dunks and drives down the lane. Once I stopped trying to do half of those things, it got easier for me. I could never shoot well with Middleton either, I traded his ass.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
A little bit of me would love to play 2k22 since the series used to be a blast 10 years ago. But most of me thinks it’d be a waste of money with the mode I’d want to play most, association/franchise, likely being neglected in favor of micro transactions for MyPlayer.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
I don't think I can ever bring myself to pay for a current year sports game. They're hardly ever different outside of rosters, and like you Sauce, I ONLY play franchise mode. The Madden 04 franchise was perfect, I don't know why they change from that (at least for football), but the last 15 have largely been the same and 2k is no different.
I just bought 2k21 a month ago for $12. And like I guessed, franchise was almost identical. I still play it, but would never pay full price. If you absolutely need 2k22 it'll be $35 by Nov.

Pretty much what I thought. Maybe I’ll get 2k30 at this rate. Maybe.

God of War is such an amazing game, but the number of collectibles (338) is such bull. I really hate collectibles in games in general. Scour every scene, look behind every nook and cranny...it's padded out bull. I wouldn't care if they were for cosmetic purposes, but when this hide and seek has real impact on the gameplay I think that's trash.

Shooter, so PC will be my preference. I'll wishlist it and pick it up sometime on deep sale. I obviously knew about this game because it was shoved down our throats, but it wasn't on my radar as something good. I'll check it out now.
Started Tales last night. Really enjoying it so far, only about 2 hours in. Great music and sound, and the main character voice acting has been great thus far too. Interesting story - wrapped in anime - and super fun combat.
ETA: Just watched the IGN review. ****, this sounds fantastic.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Been playing a lot of God of War over the last five or so days and I nearly had a disaster. I don't know if I turned autosave off three years ago or if I just assumed the game was saving, but I hadn't saved once since I picked this back up. I just rested the PS4. I went into an area, saw a dude kneeling with his back to me, and thought uh yea, time to check that save. Last save was 8/23/18. Dieing would have absolutely caused me to never pick the game up again.

I didn't know there was going to be a sequel - I guess it was announced quite a while ago. Epic Store only. Lots of changes from the first - like not cycling through characters? And it's 3D? But I'm intrigued by the 'roguelike Oregon Trail' idea so I'll keep an eye out.

The ring ceremony in 2k22 is pretty fun to watch. Especially with the additions of each teams PA accouncers.
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Anyone plan on playing New World? I was on open beta this weekend and was very impressed as an MMO player of 20 years.

I will try it out since I have it preordered but there are so many good looking games releasing around the same time that it will be hard for me to spend the amount of time needed, at least right away, for a game like New World.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Excited for the iPhone 13 announcement today. I've been rocking an X for far too long and it's time for an upgrade. Have considered switching to Android, but I really do like iPhone/don't really have any qualms, and it's nice when your entire friend/family base also uses it. I think I know 1 Android user total in my close contacts.

I'm absolutely JACKED for this. The OG on Xbox brings back so many memories. I have the mobile port, but a remake?!
I recently played through this on my PC and finally completed it for the first time. The two KOTOR games were some of the most enjoyable games I've ever played. I hear the remake is going to ditch turn based combat which should make it quite a bit different but I'm sure I'll pick this up.
I wish they'd just give us a new KOTOR game though since I know the plot of these games so well at this point.

2K22's franchise mode is messed up right now anyways. The G-League is filled with 80-90 overall players with A+ potential so it completely breaks the league once you hit free agency and all these randomly generated GOATs start filling the league.
The gameplay has greatly exceeded my expectations though. I'm nervous they'll eventually patch the game to hell like they usually do, but this is the best a 2K game has played in a long time; maybe ever. If the leave the gameplay as is and just fix the G-League glitch, this should be a blast for franchise mode.

Yeah, I've been rocking the XR since it came out and I'll probably be in the market for a new phone this holiday season. I've always been curious about trying a different brand (especially back when the Google Phone's camera blew everyone else's away, though that seems to not be the case anymore), but I think at this point I'm too far ingrained in how iPhones work to really go with anything else.
