Moonie out there stealing lottery picks.

What a trash can of a trade. I mean really, getting a 1st(and most likely a lottery pick) for Al Horford's corpse? Is this Presti behind the scenes? And Williams which is a 30 min a game starter in Chicago and 20?
There's a huge chance Williams is the better fantasy player starting this year. But sure, give away your pick as well while you're at it

It is veto-able but I did the exact same thing last year with Smart, so I have no right to bitch about it and go for the veto.
As I said, you need to know at which doors to knock.

This puts Optms' moves into perspective. He got a **** late pick for Chris Paul who is a 10x better fantasy player than Horford at basically the same age.
And a 20 yr old starter with big minutes on a team on top of that.

I will die on the Chris Paul for 1st rounder Hill. We won't know for certain Chris Paul will survive 3 straight injury free years.

At least he's not 60% owned on Yahoo.

I'm going to work out the phones right now, Thaddeus Young is 70% owned. I want my young asset plus a 1st and a 2nd back.

You know what's the funny thing nobody think even noticed?

It's the **** 2nd rounder. It's not even moonie's(top team, projected #13-15 next year). It's Optms'(tanking team projected #22-24)
That's when you know you have been worked, you're not even getting the best petty 2nd rounder in return.

Gotta say gentlemen, this is dynasty and dealing for 2 young prospects for that package is a bit of a head scratch

Unless the justification is hoping Horford could revert to his early Celtics production, Facundo producing Jokic-lite assists and decent steals, and praying Optms will be so bad he'll have a high 2nd rounder, I don't get it

Horford is old and washed.

Even if he wasn't, he's got Robert Williams who is clearly better than him at this point, and just got paid...and Kanter on his team.
Minutes will be limited.

Al Horford PF,C BOS 68 24.8 0.459 (4.1/8.9) 0.818 (0.9/1.1) 1.3 10.3 5.4 3.0 0.7 0.7 0.8

These are his projections from hashtagbasketball. I don't even think he'll crack the 25 mpg they are having him at.

If you want to do it for Williams fine. It's ok-ish.
The pick is what's over the top. I mean this guy has been notoriously gone for large periods of time, he won't even set his lineups on occasions. He was a routinely a lottery guy and this won't change.

You're letting him have Chet Holmgren and Williams(who is an underrated aspect of this trade. He showed some glimpses in the SL and he's got a clear cut role and minutes on a team, he can produce something with those minutes)..for Horford's corpse?

Planet Moonpie and Team TylersLakers have agreed to terms of the following trade:

Al Horford, Facundo Campazzo, Jarrett Culver, 2022 2nd round pick (via Optms)

FOR

Patrick Williams, 2022 1st round pick

Pending confirmation

Ty or KJG - can one of you guys manually input this trade so Culver can fit into his IL+ spot? I'm not sure if he has to drop another player or not either.

TylersLakers currently has 20 players. Subtracting Williams and adding the other 3 would put him at 22. I should be able to slot Culver into an IL+ spot, but that still leaves him one over.

I'm going to hold off processing the trade until TylersLakers confirms and tell us who he wants dropped.

Why not just include Zion in the trade to make it fair? That way he doesn't need to drop anybody.

On a more serious note. Looking at his roster, he's got maybe 3 guys who are worse than Campazzo(current production and/or potential for the future).

Who wants to make a bet he'll not touch any of them and will drop a guy who is actually better?

There's exactly one 'droppable for Campazzo' guy in your list.

I call to veto/contest this trade.

Culver is a bench warmer. Campazzo won't even start over Morris, who is starting for Murray. Neither guy will be relevant by years end. And Horford is a back end piece that is on his last legs. I don't see the logic here if the move is to compete. Williams is a top Bulls prospect who will be starting this year. All upside. What makes it veto worthy is the first pick being added though. Tylers Lakers 1st rounder won't be in the 9 to 12 range, highly unlikely. Especially with the top guys adding key pieces. Its more than likely that this pick falls in the 2-6 range. So this deal just doesn't make any sense no matter what angle I look at it from. Tylerslakers, what are you doing, bro? Help us understand this from your side.

I like moonie, I gave him a pick this year for free. Have traded with him multiple times and will trade again.

But this is too much.

Especially because he's gonna use these assets to get a bonafide top 30 guy, I'm sure of it(see Precious Scrubchiuwa trade from last year). He's in win now mode, if Williams is a top 100 guy and TylersLakers sucks ass and it's clear his pick will be a high one(both very likely), he's gonna weasel his way into a rebuilding guy's PM to get a fantasy stud.
And he gave up **** Horford at the end of the day, it's not really fair.

He would've done the exact same thing if it was someone else.

Veto for me as well.

Wall has been shut down until they can find a trade.

They were kind enough to give me the INJ so I'll get to keep my IL+.
It's actually a good move for me if it happens quick. Wall on a contending team has better value IMO, especially for me who I'm not looking for points. I hope he lands on a team with a few vets and will stop shooting and get to do what he did best in his career, distribute the ball. He's a 9.2 career apg guy, I need some of that badly.

My ideal spot is the Clippers. I don't see a trade happening, but after the buyout I think the Clippers will be one of the first teams to call.

And KPJ will fully be unleashed now, you **** should jump all over him while you still can.

I'll justify this deal pretty easily. My C's are garbage. Straight up, outside of Kleber who I literally just picked up on waivers.

Horford will be in a majority of closing line-ups because of his ability to shoot and his basketball IQ. They didn't just bring him (and his contract) in to be a piece averaging 15-20 MPG.

I'm in a spot where I'd like to win now. And Patrick Williams' single digit columns don't inspire any confidence. I was hoping I could use him as a trade piece in the off-season to acquire some big man depth and that's exactly what I've done.

We've revised the deal as well because of the "veto" calls:

TylersLakers trades Patrick Williams, 2022 1st rounder
Moonpie trades Al Horford, Mitchell Robinson, Khem Birch, Culver, 2022 2nd rounder (Optms)

I believe I'll need to drop a player so I'll unfortunately drop one of my Florida Gators children, Tre Mann.

Confirmed on my end with the inclusion of Mitch Rob and swapping out Campazzo for Birch to get Tyler the big man depth he is looking for.

Snafu re: Optms pick as well - I thought it would be a high 2nd but I forgot that 2nd round picks are opposite LOL (see my short blurb at the end of my post after the Kawhi deal) so I have no problems adding in this extra value because obviously a low 2nd isn't a great asset.
