OT: Norm Macdonald passes away (Age 61)

Post#1 » by Stannis » Tue Sep 14, 2021 7:31 pm

I had no idea he even had cancer.

I was surprised to hear the news.

RIP.

I always enjoyed his humor.

Yeah, it's sad. He reportedly tried to hid his illness from the public as long as he could. We were all surprised, and we lost a good one. RIP, Norm.

Very funny comedian. He will be missed. Norm fought the good fight for 10 years on top of all of life’s other miseries. May he RIP.

One of the funniest guys out there is you got the joke. He had a real subversive type of humor that could work regardless of the audience.

Him making fun of OG on SNL was hilarious during the weekend updates. Its what ultimately got him fired from SNL as an NBC executive was good friends with OG and told Norm not to make any more OG jokes...1 hour later Norm rips OG on SNL lol

This dude was absolutely fearless in his comedy. I've seen comics wilt the moment the crowd doesn't laugh or, even worse, when they start to lose the crowd. Not Norm. He'd revel in that. I've seen him actually laugh at losing the audience over a joke, and then proceed to win them right back. Reminds me a lot of Patrice Oneal in that regard. 61 is too damn young, but I'm grateful for all the laughs he brought me over the years. RIP, Norm.
