Dude needs to stop airing his dirty laundry on Twitter every other day. Regardless of what happened I think he has some serious maturity issues.

Jimmy Forums wrote:Hey so generally speaking what do you guys reckon PJ’s availability is? Lot of bigs on this team. I’m sure it’s been discussed somewhere but what’re the thoughts on a Lauri/PJ swap around here?
Lots of us speculated on this as part of a Lauri S&T scenario. Mitch seems pretty content to stay put (or Lauri and his agent scared him off with massive $$$ expectations). Seems to be hard to get anything done with Markks with any team.
I would personally love to get Laurie here, dealing PJ + salary to fit, maybe even include a protected pick. But you’ve gotta believe a guy is worth the $$ he’s asking for.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Definitely needs to keep this stuff in private. How is this going to help when we he wants a new contract or endorsement deal? Dude is acting like a 15 year old on Twitter.

Over his two seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, Washington has averaged 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.0 threes, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 steals per 75 possessions. No player in NBA history has matched or exceeded all of those marks.

"per 75 possessions"
Literally never seen that before, is this a metric that is commonly used?

i don't see it used much, usually 100 possessions is the metric, but per 75 possessions is actually a fair estimate of what a starter actually plays.

This is what I believe every FO trade discussion centered around PJ should start with. "Great meeting you as well. So, PJ for Jokic straight up? Good, right?"

Kupchak has hit on all 3 of his first round picks so far. One of Kai or Bouknight will probably be a miss, but even still that would easily be the best string of picks this team has made since the OG Hornets left town.

Re: 99 Problems: The PJ Washington Jr. Thread
Is PJ a top six player from the 2019 draft class?
It's still kinda early to tell, but you know after Zion, Ja & RJ it hasn't been that great of a draft. You could make the case for Garland or Hunter ahead of PJ but I'd say he's on the same tier as Herro and over guys like Rui and Cam Johnson. Then again, someone like Kevin Porter Jr could blow up next year so...

Came across a really good breakdown of PJ's strengths and weaknesses this morning:

Good analysis. The metrics helped me understand the weaknesses in his game (various) but also identify the positives. Is he a capable 5 even in this version of the league? Not in my book. Undersized, not strong enough on the boards, not a good finisher, not a shot blocker (all verified by the analytics). He does project to be a better 4, possibly a good one, if he can improve on some areas. Long term, a really good PJ (strong on the boards, refined finisher, improved defense) at the 4, with Miles similarly refined and taking leaps as our SF, would be a great return on our draft investments. Spot duty as a center….Ok, but he is NOT a 5.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Just MHO, but this is a bad way to think about him and his game. In the right matchups he's fine as a 5. There are others where he'll struggle. The team is going to have to play him at the 5 some this year given the current roster, and the trick will be doing such that his weaknesses are minimized. If they can do that he'll be fine.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Re: 99 Problems: The PJ Washington Jr. Thread
I think PJ is just not going to become a starting caliber PF/C in this league. We should move the guy while he still has "upside" to get our Kai pick back and/or a decent veteran big on a locked in contract. At least then we do not need to conserve $ to pay him in a couple of years.

Send Washington to the Heat for Tucker and a 1st round pick.

Re: 99 Problems: The PJ Washington Jr. Thread
Agree, deal PJ. I still want to trade him and filler (include a pick too) for Myles Turner. Imagine starting Turner and having Plumlee off the bench. Center is a deep strength instead of a danger zone.

Would be awesome for sure. Obviously I don't see the Pacers going for it...they likely think they can do better than that trade.

Evidently Brittany Renner is creeping around Jackson State University.
Hopefully PJ stays of social media today.

What star athlete is at Jackson State (I genuinely googled it)
