:D

Like everyone who signs with any team, now he has a chance!
He's large sized and he's not that old so there's hope.

I think the NBA is missing out on post game play so I like it.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

I like the signing.

However, he bounces around often, and I don't understand why?

He is not a great shooter or defender and the effectiveness of his post game seemed to decreased as his weight and confidence dropped. He still has great scoring skill down low. I am rooting for him. Hope he sticks

I never like Duke players. Most of them seem to be lazy, bad attitudes, low IQs, and under achieve. Okafor, Parker, Hood, Jay Williams, Barrett, Allen, Bagley, Winslow, Carter, Giles, etc.

But here is hoping coach Nate can teach some defense, even basic defense to Okafor this year.

Has he ever been in the same room as Jabari Parker cause I'm pretty sure they're the same person.

Haha, this made me laugh. If you dig deeper, they're not all that similar although they both followed a similar arc in terms of high pick to barely playable.

I think this is just the Hawks taking a flyer on a guy. If he sticks, it's because he re-dedicated himself which can only be good for the Hawks.

For me, all he is is another in a long line of college, bully-ball 4's that got to the league and realized they can no longer over-power non-NBA level guys. The ones that stick, adapt. The ones that don't adapt, don't stick.

the arc is even more similar than that. Both played for great public league high schools in Chicago and both went to Duke.

Why? Jahlil seems exactly what the doctor ordered. Young, big body, experienced with some ability to play in the NBA. And, now we find that everyone in the NBA has passed on the opportunity to prevent him from becoming a Hawk!

He has his faults. So what. Hawks don't need a starter. They have a #1 center. They have a #2 center. Needed, a big bruiser to come in and stop some of the few great big men in the NBA. We now have him. Given to us, free of charge!

Jahlil just might get a shot on the active roster as every other Center seems to be injured at the moment.

Seems you forgot our Shelden Williams from the 5th pick in the 2006 draft

He broke a lil sweat I guess, but that's it for his time here.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Appears so.

His NBA career seems pretty much over.

:(

Sadly, it just didn't work out in Atlanta. Perhaps someone else picks him up.

Must need to know him personally to know why he can't stick with a team.
