Re: OT: NFL Sunday discussion
Given the context, I really liked what Zach Wilson flashed yesterday. If he doesn't turn into a very good QB it's entirely on the Jets. He's on another level than Darnold in terms of talent.

Zach Wilson made throws that only guys like Rogers and Mahomes can make. This kid has elite talent. We just have to hope the Jets oline doesn’t end his career this year.

He'll probably have a career ending injury by game 5 though, after being sacked 10 times a game, since I'll assume real NFL teams that aren't the Panthers will do even better than their 6 sacks on Sunday.
I'm not the biggest NFL fan anymore, mostly because I didn't really have a local team to root for as a kid and don't have a real team loyalty. I bandwangoned the cowboys as a kid in the 90s. So when I moved to New York I wanted to root for the local team. Never liked the Giants as they were a division rival I always rooted against so I figured I'd pull for the Jets. What a miserable experience that was.
So now that I'm down here I figured fug it, I'll just casually root for the Panthers. I wonder who their QB even is? And by some cruel twist of fate it was still Sam Darnold. So of course he would outplay Zach Wilson. The Jets are cursed or something
I don't think the bolded is true. Jets were stuck in mud in the 1st half but Wilson flashed a bunch of throws in the 2nd half that Darnold never made in his time in NY. Darnold is a good fit for Carolina because he can check down to McCaffrey all game, once in a while get a long one into Robby, and he'll probably have better line play than he ever had in NY...They'll be a decent like 6-9 win team with him until they can find their true long term answer.
Wilson's ceiling as a thrower is much higher than Darnold IMO. His natural arm talent is miles ahead.

The anticipation and accuracy on the 2nd Davis td was very Rodgers esque
Davis turns his head and gained just enough separation on the out route to the sideline to give ZW just enough a window to jam it in and the ball was in the perfect spot. If they can get the o-line issues sorted out, then the Jet offense will look a lot better as the year goes on because Wilson is legit and so is Corey Davis... Losing Becton was a big blow though.

Re: OT: NFL discussion thread
This team ain't worth watching for the rest of the season.
Those last 70 seconds, Randle in a nut shell.
Awful 2 for 1 3PT attempt when we are up 2
Doesn’t close out on Sabonis --> open 3
Takes another side step off balance 3
We got sucked into the Randle vortex where all good feelings go to die.

Why in the heck would you purposely leave 2 minutes on the clock for the other team to March straight down the field?

playing for a FG in that spot is the biggest bitch move ever
you lose 90% of games up less than a FG...its too easy to go down the field late in games and get a FG.
It shows me everything I need to know about this team and coaching staff.
