Positive: To me it has been the impact of Fausto Carmona.
Negative: Andruw Jones

D'Backs 87-67 record with a young ass team.
May be homer, but it is definitely one of the top 3

Positive: Even though I hate him.... Ryan Braun. No one outside of Milwaukee had heard of this kid before 2007.

Negative: The A's have been pretty bad all season long, and thats something different for the Bay Area.

Positive: The Chicago Cubs, I thought they werer done before the All-Star break. They were going down the tubes very quickly. The never gave up, they fought there way back to the top of the N.L Central and are probably going to win the pennant.

Negative: Even though Andruw Jones is my favorite player, I am going to go ahead and say he has been a disappointment this season for the Braves. He is 3rd on the team in RBI's and has 26 homeruns.

While we're talking about the Royals, how bout Brian Bannister for AL Rookie of the Year. (Even though Pedroia will get it, deservingly so.)

Biggest positive: All the division and Wild Card races going down to the wire.

Negative: What on Earth happened to the Chicago White Sox?

Good call on Andruw. I really believe the Braves would be in the playoffs if not for Andruw being completely worthless at the plate. He's had more chances with RISP than ANYONE yet he is only batting like .220. Any other year and Andruw has at least 120 RBIs at this point. He really was the one player that could have made this a good year just by playing as well as usual.

My biggest surprise of the season has to be the Chicago White Sox sucking so bad this season.

I'll do it as a Red Sox fan.

Positive- Hideki Okajima

Not many fans expected anything from this guy. He's been great and even made the All-Star team.

Negative- Theo's signings. Julio Lugo and JD Drew have not been that good. Drew has picked it up of late, but overall a bad season.

I'll do one for the sox as well

Positive: We didn't see Ryan Braun

Negative: Ryan Braun doesn't play for us.
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

a computer predicted before the season started that they'd go 72-90...if they split their last 6 games they'll be 71-91...just throwing that out there
