Dang, too bad he couldn’t take all of that possible talent and make it work.
Ingles is cooked.

Sorry to see him go, but it was going to be hard for him to find any meaningful minutes again this season with Gay and Paschall on the team (and perhaps Alston). I hope he keeps playing at some level and keeps trying.

With his skill set and physicality he could have an excellent impact and make some good money in several European leagues, I think that's the way to go for him. Sort of like Morgan - although they're very different players - he just couldn't make the necessary improvements and he's 25 years old which is not all that young anymore.

On a similar note, I think the clock may be ticking for Oni as well unless he makes a serious leap this season. Other players will be vying for his spot.

The Athletic was saying that he already have a 7 figure deal worked out in Europe and that the parting was amicable.

Reminds me of Jeremy Evans. (Not in body, just in potential and my hope for the player.) Seems like he has all the tools, but just couldn't put it together. I've been a big fan, hoping for his ascendance, but never came to fruition. Shot never gained any kind of consistency. Think he has great potential as a defender. Wishing him well!

I had high hopes for Brantley as a role player but he was a huge disappointment in the summer league.

That's fantastic! I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back PJ Tucker style in a few years.

Good call on Euroleague for Brantley. That's where he is going.

Regarding Oni, I feel like he is making decent progress towards becoming a legit 3 and D bench player in the NBA. I think he manages to stick in the NBA for awhile, but we'll see. We've got a lot of guys competing for bench minutes this season.
