Is he a shooter or I misjudged from watching his highlights?
Looks to me like a SF, which technically is a forward. But he looks like a wing, like how Anthony Brown is a wing whose natural position is SF.
He does look like a good shooter, yes. Last season only shot 28.7% from 3, but the year before that he shot 35.1% from 3.
However, the low / inconsistent shooting might just be because he has bounced around from team to team (played for 3 different teams last season) and with no defined role anywhere, with a low amount of inconsistent playing time. His senior year of college he shot 43.5% from 3, albeit on low volume (1.7 attempts per game).
We heard that Anthony Brown was gonna work out for us 8 days ago but have heard nothing since, so I'm thinking that Brad figured if it didn't work out with Brown, mine as well bring in another guy who could come in and compete for a spot who is a wing who could potentially be a knock down shooter off the bench..
I like how Clark just seems to play a role out there. He spaces the floor, moves without the ball to get open, spots up, hits some 3's. Every now and then he'll take his man off the dribble if they play up on him too much or he'll go back door and cut to the rim. Just takes what the defense gives him but is always ready to shoot. Seems like a guy who has bounced around a lot, no one has really given him a chance to stick around and get a consistent role - but he's still fairly young at 26 so maybe he finds his niche here with us as he guy who can come in off the bench and hit some shots - it'll just be hard for him to get that consistent 15+ mins a game off the bench here in Boston since we have a lot of other guys in front of him..but hey, as a 14th or 15th guy, seems decent.
