yup Gobert was in NY prior to this offseason. He also was one of the few players with a 100 DEF rating.

I think you need both in most cases. A defensive stopper and an elite offensive player in your starting lineup. Otherwise you need 3 or 4 solid to great offensive players.

Its going to be interesting to see how much two way players like Leonard and George get paid vs lock down defenders like Gobert and Jrue. I have my plan in mind for the reset. Its been a thought ever since I took this team over.

KD and Beal is hard to beat offensively. I agree about Jrue being a great add that balances things out. KD with his rim protection is a solid two way player also.

I like KP a lot as a defensive big. Doncic, Harris, and Zion lack a lot on defense. I don't think anyone will be sending a Jrue, Gobert, or Leonard my way; so the reset is what I need to be looking forward to.

Bitadze, Killian, Moody, and Bey have some solid upside but that is a year or two away.

Kawhi was a 96
Bam was a 91
Butler was a 90

Embiid had a poor year for his standards the previous year so he wasn't close to a 90

I think the other big defensive player was Isaac who was in the mid 90's as well since he is one of the best defenders in the sport.

Draymond was a high 80 as well.

For the most part I think the SIM did a good job there on the DEF ratings.
