Re: Around the NBA II
"Noel says that he later learned that representatives from the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers wanted to discuss opportunities with Paul, but that they could not make contact," Darren Heitner wrote. "Leon Rose (who was formerly an agent at Creative Artists Agency but then the President of the New York Knicks) reached out about a deal and Noel ultimately signed a 1-year contract for $5 million."
The article goes into detail about some of the various issues Noel has with Paul, claiming that he cost him $58 million in lost earnings. When it comes pertaining to the Clippers though, that is the only excerpt talking about the franchise. Noel on the Clippers would have been a very solid backup for the team, especially when Serge Ibaka was injured for an entire season. It's seemed like Noel has been underpaid for the majority of his career, and it's clear that Noel feels that way himself. It will be very interesting to see if his lawsuit leads to the damages he's looking for.

Rich Paul is sleazy and it's disappointing that LeBron is okay with him tarnishing his legacy by association.

Yikes, if true, this is pretty bad, but there's also always been a conflict of interest concern with a prominent players BFF being a major agent in the league.

In a sense there can be a conflict of interest even if the big star is not BFF with the agent. Same goes with boxing promoters, who might sacrifice one of their lesser fighters to directly or indirectly benefit their big prize fighter.

Any ranking that doesn't have the Lakers as the absolute worst fanbase is delusional. The Nets barely even have fans, how are they worse than Laker fans?

Forget what you read online or hear on PMS-PN douching Doc. I'm a Philly boy. We're just fine with paying him his max and letting his sorry ass sit and watch all year. Or better yet, stay home and cost yourself $33 million, you little prick.
This is how we roll.

Keep an eye out on Jabari Parker. Another reclamation project could be had, and Clippers are very good at revitalizing careers that are on the verge of ending. Keep in mind Clippers have a full roster right now so a trade or cut will have be made first.

Amazing man. Adopted one of Austin's teammates as a teenager when he was orphaned. Drummond is his best friend.

- Before Doc Rivers called Andre Drummond, he sent a text to Adam Jones.
It was a message to a son and a best friend, unveiling that Rivers was ready to make a long-running family joke a reality.
“Hey, what do you think about us getting Andre?” Rivers sent Jones, whom Doc and wife, Kris, legally adopted as a teenager just before he and Drummond became prep-school teammates.
“I was like, ‘Look, I think that’s a great idea,’” Jones recalled last week. “...Literally probably 30 minutes later, Andre signed with the Sixers. I FaceTimed him and I was just like, ‘Hey, man. It finally happened. We’ve been talking about it for years. I can’t wait.’”
...
“One day I’m gonna end up playing for you,” Drummond would tell Rivers. “It’s gonna come. I don’t know when or how it’s gonna happen, but it will. We speak things to existence.”

Sixers fans are already done with Doc and want him fired after this latest chokejob from him. He'll probably still con the owners into letting him waste the rest of Embiid's career, though.

nah
Philly Boy here
with Simmons out everybody know you can't win without Embiid
- They missed 17 of their 23 shots in the period, including three air-balled three-pointers by Danny Green in rapid succession. And they could not lean on superstar Joel Embiid, who was limited to less than five fourth-quarter minutes because of knee soreness that made him questionable to play Friday.

Re: Around the NBA II
Many skeptics looking good right now lol
- Michael Porter Jr. is dealing with a nerve issue in his back that could force him to miss the entire 21-22 season. Porter could undergo another back surgery to address the issue. Porter has already had two back surgeries.
The Denver Nuggets have so far been vague about the injury and when he might be back. The Nuggets have given Porter a timeline of a week to show improvements before considering other options.
Porter exacerbated a back injury he's had all season after botching a layup attempt on November 6th and hasn't played since.
Porter has since been getting daily treatments to strengthen the area of the injury.
After signing a five-year max contract with $145 million in guaranteed money, Porter struggled to begin the season. Porter attributed the struggles, at least in part, due to his back.
