I find the timing of this tweet interesting. Shams and others reported this weeks ago. It's nothing new unless Morey wants to lay groundwork on a "We had to trade him," narrative. i wonder if the trade is happening this week.

Also, I don't think Minnesota would get Simmons this week. In my opinion, Minnesota is still six weeks away. The Wolves need Beverley to be with the team long enough to be part of the trade and probably need Beasley to get off to a good start.

I'd watch Sac or Portland.

Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey has scoured the NBA for fair trade value and so far found nothing close. The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly unwilling to part with Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards for Simmons. The Sacramento Kings have reportedly kept De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton off the table. The Golden State Warriors reportedly will not deal James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga for Simmons. Philadelphia reportedly turned down a deal centered around Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon. Collin Sexton would reportedly be the centerpiece of the Cleveland Cavaliers' interest.

Good point. I listened to a podcast where Windhorst said this in very certain terms a few weeks ago. Sixers fans have a narrative that all these sources from various teams as well as national sources that are all consistent .. are wrong, all influenced by Klutch from a single leak. Hard to deny Woj’s credibility.

I just hope this is over soon, regardless of where Simmons lands, and whatever price he returns.

What package is the best of the lousiest is what this is going to come down to. If Simmons could hit FTs and 3s on nightly basis? He’d be getting kings ransom

He'd be more "untouchable" than Embiid.

Beasley, Prince, Reid, Okogie and two pick swaps for Simmons

Bev / Nowell / JMac
DLo / Bolmaro
Ant / McDaniels / Layman
Simmons / Vanderbilt / Knight
KAT / (Biyombo) / (Baynes)

Sign Biyombo and Baynes

Obviously one of the core starters will always have to play with the second unit, but that's not a problem we'd have 4 of them.

Some of the same people who were supporting/laughing about Jimmy are now calling for Simmons to be professional. That is more amusing to me. When it was the Timberwolves it was what this joke of a franchise deserved. Now it's the Sixers and it's this huge affront to basketball.

Jimmy Butler was a POS with the stuff he pulled.

I was going to say this

There was just a video posted on the general board from a Philly shock jock calling Simmons a baby, all the things, and all I could think about was what his positions on Jimmy Butler was at the time and now.
