Ben Simmons doesn't love basketball.

This is seriously stupid from Ben and his camp.

Yeah, we're probably end trading him for peanuts, yeah we probably lost the option to add another all star. But even guys like Harden and Davis with all the leverage in the world reported on their teams and, even when not playing, were forced to train and stuff.

Good luck to Ben trying to get another big contract after this. This is just kamikaze non sense stuff.

Nothing has changed since yesterday or the day before or etc etc

Btw, Harden didn’t train (while dissing his teammates) and AD sat on the bench wearing a t-shirt trolling the Pelicans

Both were way more ugly than this

Not really. I feel like if you surround Simmons with Nesmith, Pritchard, and Horford, he’d be effective. And come 4th quarter crunch time, he can defer to Tatum. Brown doesn’t create for others. Simmons does.

The real first deadline will be next Monday when the Sixers hold media day. Does this organization, coaches, and players want to be asked Ben Simmons questions all day.

Despite everyone, including Sixers fans, saying the Celtics wouldn't even consider it, I think it elevates both teams to real contender status.

The talent level is equal but the fits are mismatched at current. Flip them and they both give their new teams the missing ingredient.

Now I don't see it happening because Simmons has purposely tanked his value so it's unfortunate.

This situation is really begging for a one year tank, if the idea is really to maximize Joel's championship window. Frankly, I consider the championship equity this year to round to 0 even if Simmons plays, so why not fake an Embiid injury to redshirt him and let Simmons hold out while you try to find a trade? Next year you get Embiid back, add a high lotto pick, plus whatever you get for Simmons eventually, probably be able to move Harris too, the kids play and get sharpened by high minutes.

The only reason this wouldn't be an option is if Joel just says no, I'm not doing that.

To note though, just having Simmons on the floor in crunch time would make Tatum's job that much harder.

The galaxy brain move would have been to trade Simmons after he won ROY.

I like to think Morey always knew that Simmons is overrated, but was trying too hard for a home run trade. Even moving Simmons for LaVine before the start of the season would have been a major win. Now the Sixers will be lucky yo get Brogdon. And to think Hinkie died for this... so sad.

I can't imagine you and Ben ever being apart.

We're telekinetically connected actually.

PHI
Maxey Green Brown Harris Embiid
Curry Springer Tisse Niang Drummond

BOS
Schroeder Smart Tatum Ben Horford
Pritchard Fournier Jrich Nesmith Williams

Both teams absolutely get better, and seemingly similar talent-wise. I’d slot them in the top four with Milwaukee and Brooklyn

Rich Paul, via Jay Williams, says they’ll do whatever it takes to get out of Philly.

Harden was only pulled out of training after dissing his teammates and while the rockets already had advanced negotiations with both the sixers and the nets.

And the t-shirt stuff is not more ugly than skiping an entire camp, let's be real.

Let say you're right, those players still had a lot more of leverage than Ben. The fact he really thinks he's in a position to act like he's a top 5 or 10 player on the league or like he's on an expiring contract is hilariously sad.

I don't think we could have gotten LaVine, he's the Bulls' best player. Why would they trade him for Simmons if he himself does not want to go?
