Magic Sign Admiral Schofield

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Tue Sep 21, 2021 10:15 pm

The Magic have finally signed Admiral Schofield.

They were rumored to be signing him late last season but it fell through.

It's likely an exhibit 10 and it's possible The Magic are waiting and seeing to sign their second Two-Way Player.

So was Barkley...but he's no Barkley. It worked in college, but this is just camp fodder.

Aside from having the coolest name in NBA history, I’m pretty sure this guy is just a designated fouler.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Pretty sure this means we're trading one of Bamba or Isaac. Maybe even Suggs or Wagner.

This would be the 17th man off of the bench if he signs a 2w contract.

Yeah I watched a game of this guy a few years back in the NCAA. The cool name got my attention. When I found out he was one of those undersized big men who was effective in college, I thought that he needs a niche to be able to stay in the league becuase his height can't cut it.

Well Orlando had a 6'7" Center. He was a core player of Heart and Hustle, and made the NBA Hall of Fame after dominating on defense. Wallace NEVER scored 10 ppg over any season of his career.

Schofield's primary job for the Magic, if he becomes a 2W-player, will be to be a tough player on the practice squad. No one expects him to get any floor time at all.

We did draft a 6'7" PF in Ryan Humphrey some years ago. Pretty sure he's just a body for training camp. This is the time when those guys get picked up.

I know nothing about him except his cool name and measurements. It's strange to say but 6'5 just seems small for PF these days. 3rd string, so whatevs, but the Pf/SF is thin and injured currently.
