It's like I say: don't sht [fornicate within the confines of your employer] where you eat [work]. Hopefully, Rosas grows from this, salvages his marriage and doesn't indulge in workplace coitus, consensual or not but especially if not consensual. Pretty bad stretch for the Wolfs: bad trade of KD, GM drafts 6,000 guards in one draft and now this tawdry mess. What's next? Need to right the ship.imo

I feel Simmons would have been perfect on the nets. Would have made the backcourt a plus on defense and would've become a slasher with KD and Harden drawing away attention.
Yup, and when the Nets go small, they'd be good enough defensively with Simmons & KD at the 4 and 5.

Yep. Simmons on that Nets team would have been perfect, and caused us problems.
And that deal also helps Philly go all in, as Kyrie would be great there.
Thankfully the egos of the players involved stopped it. Otherwise the Bucks would have been in for a rougher time with each squad this season.

Meh, we have Grayson Allen now. Nothing to fear

Yeah, you look at what Seth Curry was able to do with the 6ers... on paper, replacing him with Irving would be pretty scary. As always with Irving, you have to consider whether his diet iconoclast schtick is going to fly.

All these Rosas stories coming out are a great reminder that there's more to being a General Manager than making picks and trades. You've got to have a broad array of soft skills. You've got to be a good manager, generally.

Or how good a finisher he is. Simmons may be able to get to the hoop, but no one finishes like Giannis. He can score through, over or around anyone. Simmons ain't that guy.

For 76ers for sure its a good trade..
For Nets tho really?????
Why?
2 of the 3 Nets superstars can carry them if one of them is out but KD with Simmons or Harden with Simmons cannot, what Simmons will do when Harden handling the ball most of the times? How he helps the spacing?
Fouling Simmons at the end of the games is the best strategic to stop Harden, KD and the Nets... You trade a 26 (50/40/90) for a player that you cant play at the end of the games?
We are going to believe Lebron media guys that this is a good trade for both teams ??
They dont care about the Nets, they care about Lebron...

Give Simmons the ball on the FT line and tell him to spray dimes all over the court. Run DHOs and make his man either crowd up or give Harden/Durant an open jumper. Let him screen for either Durant or Harden on high pick and rolls and fill to the dunker spot and behind that to the corners. Let him be KD's outlet when teams finally figure out they can trap him.
Anyway it's a non-starter, but Simmons is a better all-around player than Kyrie.

Do you believe we go 2-0 down with no Harden and Simmons replacing Kyrie this year? I do not..
No i dont believe that Simmons is the better player, on O the difference is huge.

Re: ATL - Camps Open 9/28
I wish there was more variation on how teams played. I think Simmons would be fantastic on a team like the small ball Clippers. Run like he'll and spread the floor.
The problem is that the floor shrinks in the playoffs with better defenses. And transition opportunities fall off a cliff. So a lot of the stuff that makes Simmons special disappears at money time. Still a good player; we just prioritize playoff performance and even taking out the mental tips he has had in important moments, he just isn't going to be as good in the playoffs. Add in the yips and you have a flawed player in ways that make building a championship squad impossible.

The next time you're on a court with a charge circle, straddle it and think about what it means to be able to just rise up from a standstill and dunk all over a 6-10 dude. Nobody should be telling anybody to "play like Giannis". Only one guy can do it.

Yeah, watching Simmons try and post up literally anyone is pure comedy. Might as well just have told Lamar Odom to "play like Shaq".

- Hey Ben, change of expectations: we're not like the Sixers, we don't actually need you to shoot or score at all or even make your free throws
Ben: Ok
See what I mean! If Simmons wasn't the number 1 pick and had early success, I think teams would have a different view of him. The NBA is littered with guys making ~$30m that are extremely flawed. I think he is fairly paid. I think you could do worse than bet on a guy with his talent and give him a fresh start.
http://www.espn.com/nba/salaries/_/seasontype/4
IMO, I take him over guys like Tobes, Kyrie, Zinger, Butler (starting this year), Wiggins, Love, McCullum, etc and those guys dont get half the crap Simmons does despite being on the same pay band.
Hell, Jrue is making the same as him and yeah he had a lot of clutch plays but he was also shaky as hell in the Nets series. Game 7 he was 5-23 in a close game. Would make for interesting discussions on his contract if we lose that game. Simmons just turned 25. Despite what Doc thinks, I think he can become a Robin (Read: Rodman) on championship team.
Wiggins does get a bunch of crap. And the reason Wiggins and Simmons get shat on by everybody is because they're not trying and the other ones do, it's really that simple. I mean what are you gonna tell McCullum, the guy was 5'4" in highschool and had to claw his way through everything, Butler has absolutely maximised all his talent through consistent hard work, Kyrie is a strange person but at least everybody can see he's passionate about the game, Zinger looks like a WWII nazi officer LOL never mind
Anyway what I'm trying to say is that among basketball maniacs like us, Simmons and Wiggins are the foreign objects because it just feels they don't love and respect the game.
They consistently give high effort. Wiggins is an idiot and Simmons can't shoot; those are their faults.

I wouldn't have minded Arcidiacono on a camp contract; that's all he got from the Celtics.
We could try to corner the market on Villanova guards. They seem to mostly be OK.
