The new Kirby looks pretty cool. Is this the first 3D open-worldish Kirby game?

ETA: LOL both are apparently Playstation releases too so two of the three things I cared about I won't even be playing on the Switch.
Any of those Castlevania games worth playing? Always been amused that I love Metroidvania games and yet have never played Castlevania nor Metroid.

I think Kirby 64: Crystal Shards was the last Kirby remotely like this, but I don’t recall the format since that was so long ago.

I'm kind of with you. I grew up with the NES Castlevania games, which predate the Metroidvania format. Have also never spent more than 30 minutes with a Metroid game, though I recently started playing Super Metroid.
Have never played the Gameboy Advance Castlevania games (the DS games were good) but always wanted to because I've always heard they're classics.
But man, if you haven't played Symphony of the Night and you love the modern Metroidvania games then holy **** you're in for a treat. It's an all-timer that still 100% holds up. Once you're done with that, pick up Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. It's the same game director essentially remaking SOTN twenty years later with modern sensibilities.

An hour into Actraiser Renaissance and I'm so happy.

While I'm happy N64 games (and Sega!) are coming to Switch Online, literally the only reason I bought that **** Mario collection was to play Mario 64 again. Which will now be free to me.
I really do hate Nintendo.

Wow, Triangle Strategy comes out soonish! 4/22. That's exciting.
Shadowrun trilogy coming to the Switch. Probably won't play them again, but it's a good platform match for sure.
Metroid Dread and the new Mario Party both looking good.
Actraiser looks cool. Never played it I don't think.
Seems like it was a pretty good direct.

Sounds like to get the n64 and Genesis games you have to pay more for the Online package. The only game out of the two consoles I ever played was Golden Eye, so I'll probably skip that package.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
So twice now in Deathloop, I've died because I can't differentiate a visionary from a normal enemy. I think I can headshot the enemy but turns out it's a visionary with more health and then they set off a timer that results in the entire map exploding. So damn frustrating. After playing for ~10 hours, pretty surprised this game got such high reviews.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Also, as much as I'm loving the **** out of Actraiser, I wouldn't recommend it at $30 unless you're a fan of the original. The side-scrolling combat is still stiff, and the town management is still obviously rudimentary. The game was essentially a launch title for the SNES. Now, I LOVE this remake. The re-done soundtrack is amazing. They've made clever additions to the town building that make you enter the side-scrolling combat more often. They added a tower defense mechanic that is okay so far. But I'll still probably finish this game in six hours, and that's with the first map being a tutorial level that I constantly attempt to fly through because I've played this entire game a dozen times.

That's the only level I died on. When you start it, don't use the entrance down in the military vehicle yard to the right (the one with the two big doors). Instead go up and to the left, past the building, and down to the entrance with only one open entrance. If you use your knife you only have to kill four normal enemies before you arrive at the visionary's room, and from there you can get the drop on her. After she's dead, go to her bedroom, gather all the reading material, and use it to diffuse the reactor by cutting the wires in the correct order. Shouldn't be any enemies around.
The other way to the boss for me always resulted in setting off the reactor and getting blown up.

I think I'm taking the route you're describing but my problem is I get lazy and don't snap necks, I just headshot with my silenced LMP. Only problem is when it's the visionary and I don't realize it. I just need to cool down a bit and snap necks another night.

She's going to be in a room alone you can see across a gap in the floor. Also, remember to hold the down button on the directional pad to identify them first.
Unless I'm mistaken and you're talking about Julianna. Once you get the alert that she's invaded she can take the identity of any normal enemy, but you can pick her out immediately because she's super aggressive.

We're on the same page, it's not Julianna. I get to the room and just try a headshot, which I need to stop doing. And I didn't ID her, just went for the shot.

The D2R launch has been quite the disaster. The game itself has been wonderful...the problem is getting to the game. It's like they allocated server capacity for their staff then launched it to the world.

Oh yea, you're on it then. Visionaries don't go down with just a headshot. Her slab is Havoc too so she's extra beefy. Gotta get in close and empty full clips. If you want to make the game easy, use a rapier with good trinkets, or better yet, get the Strelak Verso. No more dying.

Good clarification. No, it isn't, but you can't take an offline character on, and for once I do know a couple people playing this game so I'm playing online.

I've been trying to figure this out with people I know for a week now and still unsure! What are you thinking? I'm looking for a pvp, yet chill group. Was thinking going Marauders as their whole thing is pvp.
