I saw a third-hand piece saying that Slater wrote that the Ws were impressed with Collison’s shape at the workout,TB wrote:I was really hoping Collison was the guy, but we obviously have no idea how he looked or what he's looking for.
Regardless, this feels like Poole is really being considered for the starting SG spot (which I hope is the case). Personally, I think we'd be fine with Iggy and Chiozza as the backup PGs... but having a 80% Collison (of his last season) would have been a much more sure thing.
IT has been pretty terrible for like 4 straight years.

And dray would love him.
Darren Collison looked too slow for NBA, so think Ryan A. will prolly get the last spot or 2-way deal. Only trouble is I can't spell nor pronounce his last name if he makes the roster.
Oh I hadn't heard anything about the Collison workout, where'd you get that info from? It's too bad he wasn't ready to play, pre-retirement DC was a quality PG we could have used.

Thomas wouldn't be eligible for a two-way deal (has 3 years in the league) it would have to be an NBA contract.

14. What is a two-way contract?
Beginning in the 2017 offseason, NBA rosters expanded from 15 to 17 players with the addition of two spots for players under “Two-Way Contracts.”
NBA teams may have up to two players under NBA Two-Way Contracts who will spend the bulk of the season in the NBA G League and not more than 45 days with their NBA team. Two-Way players are paid a corresponding daily amount based on the number of days they play in each league. Only players with four or fewer years of NBA service are able to sign Two-Way Contracts, which can be for either one or two seasons.

Two way contracts are for players with 4 or fewer years in the league unless that was changed this past offseason

However it doesnt indicate what constitutes a "year of NBA service". Is like the MLB with arbitration? Is there a limit of # of games played in the NBA/GLeague? Or is it just NBA? Lots of questions.. frankly they should just go the route of the NFL w/their practice squad and make it any age/experience level.. some minor league systems in the MLB have very old players as well. NBA's the only one who seems to downplay that idea
EDIT: Turns out a year of service is if they play a single NBA game. So Khyri is at 3 years of service and is eligible for a 2 way contract

This is TJ Leaf. He signed a 2 way contract last year after 3 years of playing in the NBA.

I guess you're right, I'm not sure about Leaf signing for 2 years, though. It's a little confusing. This is how it reads in the CBA,
Article II:
"No Team may sign or convert a player to a Two-Way
Contract if the player has or may have four (4) or more
Years of Service at any point during the Contract.
For example, a player with three (3) Years of Service would not
be eligible to sign a Two-Way Contract with a term of two
(2) years."
