I have been pretty firm in my opinion of no Brown for Simmons. But this version has me hooked (plus, you know, Aussie bias)

Not necessarily for Beal, but for a decent package sure. The difference is, if we got Simmons cheap is easy to profit in the deal and we arent backed into a corner like Philly. They need to get value back, in theory we could profit without playing too much hardball

Anyone know if the Celtics could use their Fournier TPE to help facilitate a three team trade? I don't remember ever hearing if TPE's can be used as part of wider trades.

If so, perhaps they could help facilitate a Simmons trade were they take an asset from one of the other two teams into the TPE to help salaries between the two principle teams work?

If Simmons struggles at his next stop he will have zero trade value with that contract. He is a very volatile commodity right now while you see him being compared to a player like Draymond Green he has nowhere near the mental and physical toughness. More physical talent for sure but none of the intangibles. You got to love him to trade for him because if he doesn't elevate his game to match that contract it is going to be brutal.

Sure they could be a part of a deal that they acquire a player with the a TPE, they have multiple ones. That said I can't see anyway that BOS and PHI can get together on a trade like this. Can't see how Morey and Rivers would want to work with Stevens. Then there is the whole PHI/BOS piece and honestly why would Boston want to help let it burn.

Otaru was decent for the clippers I loved him out fothe draft in the 1 game he played over 30 minutes last year he pulled down 13 and 12 with a block 2 assists and 2 steals, he should catch on somewhere, we are pretty loaded at C at the moment, So likley not us but I liked him.

Just thought about something: in terms of career trajectory and development, Ben Simmons reminds me a lot of Dwight Howard. Great physical tools, good defender, athletic, and absolutely no offensive development whatsoever. There was a time when Dwight was a projected lock for the HOF and now look at him. He barely improved and burned every bridge along the way.

Anyone expecting Brown to be included in any trade needs to lay off the shrooms.
