This has nothing to do with Fields.

It’s the only bright side in dark room. It’s not going to get better for years. Too many large contracts that don’t produce their worth. Until fields proves it consistently, he was still the fourth QB chosen in the draft. You could argue Trubisky was a higher rated prospect. We don’t have an identity, no proven future young stars. No first round draft pick.

lmao huh?

I’ll give you roquan and JJ as young good players. But I am not going to debate with you, You don’t objectively support your views

You could argue Trubisky was a higher rater prospect? Go ahead, argue it.

What the hell are you talking about?

He was drafted over Mahomes and Watson. #1 QB choice that year. Chosen by people who get paid millions.

Fields was passed on by at least 3 teams who wanted a QB. Passed on by people whose job it is to make the right pick.

This is what it felt like if you were a fan of teams playing the Bears in ‘85

Cool, you looked up the draft order.

What made him a better prospect? Was it his extensive college career? Physical talent? College success? Mental makeup?

Fields is bigger, stronger, faster, more polished, a better QB and played on a much, much bigger stage than Mitch in college. They're not close prospects. Pace made a mistake drafting him over those two, the Jets, Falcons, Lions, Panthers and Broncos all made a major mistake passing on Fields.

I don’t think this is a game to judge if fields was ready or not. The play calling and orotection has been so bad fields hasn’t had the opportunity to show if he’s good or bad

But that's one of the points. Guys like Silvy on the radio have gone so far meatball that they're like "you should be fired if you don't start him off the bat". The reason you don't start him is being displayed today - the team as currently constructed is not ready. And there is a such thing as potentially rushing and ruining a QB. When the support system around the QB sucks so young in the QBs career, you're setting them up to not only fail then, but to potentially ruin their confidence.

This isnt just one player or one position not playing well on offense. Browns D is playing better on every level.

You run screens when the defensive line is pinning they’re ears back like this. Not a single screen has been run.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?

Nagy is the problem. He has to know what he’s calling is not working based on his personnel on the field. The O Line is not good enough.

My god the defense does not want to give up today.

Kudos for them, this is the best they're played since 2018.

How long?!?!?! You mean for the 2 seconds the O-line is giving him??

Yes, Fields needs to get up to speed with going through his progressions quicker. But I don’t know a QB in the game that’s going to be able to do much when you can’t give your guy at least 3-4 seconds to throw the ball.

Nagy needs to call some plays where Fileds doesn’t need to make a decision, some screens, quick outs

The play i referred to is long gone. But he needs to realize they are coming fast and get out faster. Needs to think faster, anticipate. Itll come.
