I try to keep my mouth closed on getting the COVID shot and mind my business after trying to convince family members to get it. They told me I couldn't tell them nothing because I don't get the flu shot. I'm just trying to let people make up their own mind. Just stay away from me without it!

I think rich folk who have easy access to the best healthcare should think a bit more about what and how they say things. Bradley Beal could have said something sensible such as not wanting the vaccine because he already had Covid. I don’t agree with decision but there is at least a credible argument to be made that vaccine doesn’t add that much extra protection to him given age and condition and natural immunity. Instead, he chose to spread lies about the risk of the vaccine.

Why? It's relevant here, since Beal was rumored to be the Celtics' No. 1 trade target.

Personally I would not touch an unvaccinated player in a trade. Too much risk. The NBA wants players vaccinated for the same reason that major corporations (including Fox News, BTW) require their employees to be vaccinated: the unvaccinated are a serious threat to productivity. If I'm paying a guy 30 million a year, I don't want him missing games or infecting the other guys I'm paying millions per year. They probably won't die, but they will cause me to lose games, and the playoffs are profitable.

There's a theory that Beal is anti-vax to drive down his trade value, but he could do that by simply demanding to leave Washington.

Honestly the biggest draw with him is the potential low price tag and relationship with Tatum. But now that we can't leverage our ability to sign him outright the likelihood of a massive discount is much lower. Plus Tatum is clearly a grown ass man since he's not letting nonsense from one of his best friends get in his head about the vaccine and he already did the smart thing. I'd rather not bring in another idiot to potentially ruin things even if he's BFF's with Tatum. I think if Brad/Ime focus on building around Tatum and catering to him to a good extent, he'll stick around for a long time regardless.

Beal/Brown/Tatum isn't an ideal trio anyway because of the overlap. **** it, give me Simmons instead. Siakam as well might not be a bad shout depending on the price.

How many games is your boss supposed to accept that you are going to miss at $350000 a game?
