I'm thinking 8 ppg, 4 rpg, 2 apg, 0.8 spg, 0.8 bpg.

Very conservative estimate but I don't know how patient Nurse will be with him long term (despite what he has said). Ideally like a true rebuilding team you would give him a bigger leash and let him play through mistakes and whatnot.

If Nurse sticks to what he has been saying then Barnes should easily put up better numbers than above.

not so worried about the stats.
It is just about his defense. Can his defense be highly impactful right away? Can it quickly be at DPOY-Level (and join OG's)?

Expecting similar numbers from Scottie with a lower 3pt%. Hoping he averages 4-5 rebs and contributes with stats across the board... the offense will come in time

I'm thinking he puts up better rebounding numbers than OG.

OG was also coming off a torn ACL in his rookie season, I don't think he had the confidence in his knee all year.

Rookie OG was asked to defend the opponents best player while also shadowing demar's man and helping contest demar's guy
He was told not to rebound to contest more instead as a rookie

11.2 ppg
5.8 rebounds
4.9 assists
1.1 bpg
1.8 spg

Scotties going to feast. I also see him as a future triple double machine, and I almost guarantee he breaks the Raptors triple doub record during his career here.

Some of y’all talking about him like he’s a 20th pick.

I expect 10/5/3 on 43/29/71 splits.

Something like 10ppg, 5rpg, 2apg with good defense but below average efficiency. In a few years though, watch out!

I think Nurse is gonna play him a ton. But he won’t get much in terms of possessions or ball handling duties. He’ll likely play the big man role, finishing plays with the odd post up. So I’m expecting good efficiency.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I'm not expecting the world of him, with his flaws in year 1.

And maybe 20min per night? He’s going to be OG’s main backup.

He’s not going to be amazing until year 3-4 imho. Looking to be surprised by I think those are reasonable averages for a guy who can’t shoot.

Maybe 1-2 steals per night and 1 block? Hopefully a lot of deflections as well.

After NN's comments, I wouldn't be surprised if we see closer to 25-30min per night. He basically said we are going to give him all the opportunities to grow and be on the floor as much as possible which I really like. The more NBA mins the better.

I can see an Isaac Okoro kind of stat line with slightly better shooting. I can see Barnes defaulting a lot to the guys around him.

Yup this is most reasonable. People saying saying 1 stl/1 blk need to slow down. Only 7 people averaged 1 of each last year, including the 2 time MVP.

Since everyone is being fairly conservative (pointed exception is NinjaBro!), I'm going to go with some ROY-range numbers. Can't win if you don't play.

17 points
4.2 assists
8 rpg (5 off/3 def)
1.9 steals
2 blocks
51% shooting
35% 3-point on low-volume
82% FT
'Cos it's easier to try
Than to prove it can't be done
