My takeaway from this game is that the Eagles are not very good.

How’d you like the DT play last night, BJJ?
I liked it. I liked it very much.

Because even though most of the division is playing like garbage they still draw huge ratings.

You only say that because he's on your fantasy team.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
I’m never going to be big fans of QBs like Hurts or Fields. They’re both stuck in no mans land with their skill set. In college they look great because they’re faster than the majority of defenders and they get to throw too wide open guys all day long.
And while they’re both fast, they’re not fast enough to be elite scramblers in the NFL because the speed is just drastically more. And their throwing ability just isn’t good enough to rely on in the NFL.
If you’re going to be a scrambling QB in the NFL, you have to be an elite athlete.
I think there is a clear ideal kind of QB. Elite arm talent with enough athleticism to improvise and keep plays alive. I’m talking the
Rodgers
Mahomes
Allen
Herbert
Wilson
Kind of QB. Elite arms with the ability to scramble and get the 1st down if the play breaks down.

Do you group Murray in with Fields + Hurts?

No. Murray can be tossed in that list above or with Lamar when it comes to QBs with elite athleticism.
To me the most important skill a QB can have is to pick apart a defense from the pocket. Then I want them to have the ability to improvise and extend the play or use their legs to pickup the 1st down. I don’t have Murray’s pure throwing ability on the same tier as those guys above, but he’s still a damn good thrower of the football. His elite athleticism makes up for any gap.
I don’t think Fields or Hurts have the arm talent to ever be a QB that can pick apart a defense from the pocket. And I don’t think either one have that Lamar/Murray level of athleticism where they can consistently breakdown a defense with their legs. Lamar has top tier speed where he’s out running DBs, Murray is fast (not Lamar fast) and his shiftiness is crazy good.

Defense should get even better when Lawrence and the others get back. Did not at all like McCarthy's game management again this week. He really screwed up the last coupe minutes by NOT using his time outs. I wonder what he actually is managing at times.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
Fields will be fine. He just needs a better supporting cast around him & more experience. The offensive line is garbage. They don't have a ton of playmakers outside of Allen Robinson. Nagy & that coaching staff have done a poor job to say the least. The kid has been put in a bad spot with little to no help.
Hurts is in a similar situation. The Eagles are a bad football team.

Matt Nagy is Adam Gase reincarnated. That whole offense will take off once he's relieved of his duties. There's enough talent on that offense for them to be a middle of the pack offense. I'm a huge fan of Darnell Mooney, he's one guy that's waiting to take off once the Bears figure out their coaching situation.

I agree for the most part. I don't think Fields, Hurts will ever win a championship. I don't think Lamar will either though. I do think they will all put up crazy numbers at some point.
