Brian Windhorst said a couple weeks ago if PHI offered Simmons for CJ straight up, he thought POR might turn it down. He added that he doesn’t think POR has reached the point that they would trade CJ, and if they did put him on the market, other teams may offer something that’s a better fit for the Trailblazers.

Ben is a great defensive player, but he has some massive liabilities too.
1. Shooting
2. Confidence to take shots under pressure.
3. Ability/desire to Improve.
4. Now, he’s shown he may not honor his contract on his next team if he gets frustrated - money doesn’t matter to him.
He’s on a max deal, and GM’s need to assess risk. The Trade Board consensus is higher than what the national consensus seems to be. These things make me wonder what Ben’s market value is, too.
