Robin Lopez will be an absolute GEM for this team, the fans and of course STUFF. The guys is the perfect Vet to bring in, he will know his role & will bring a little more FUN and laughter to the team that will likely have rough patches during the season.

Just seems like the vibe is already 10000% different from the last few years. It seem more relaxed, fun but also know Jamahl will push them every chance he can.

It is probable NBA players will routinely get in contact with COVID-positive individuals (given their travel and lifestyle). So I expect the 40-50 NBA players not vaccinated will each have a stretch of missed games. Over the league that could total 100 missed games simply because of vaccination status.

Yeah - that's the same issue in the NFL. Setting aside the health/community benefits of vaccination, there's a clear competitive advantage of being vaccinated in the NBA this season. Players that choose not to be vaccinated are choosing to most likely sit out many games and practices. How many games has JI played since 2017? Maybe he's just used to missing like 3 out of every 5 games anyway.

I agree. Regardless of how you feel about the vaccine debate from a societal viewpoint.. from a professional sports viewpoint it just puts you at a competitive disadvantage. I don’t expect to hear about many stars on contending teams passing up on the vaccine..

As a Vikings fan - my team is dealing with that with Cousins, Thielen, Smith, and Cook. The team's 4 best-ish players are all unvaccinated and it clearly divided the locker room. Pretty tough to build comradery with teammates when your locker is in a separate location, you can't eat together, you can't sit together during film, etc.

Isaac is probably not in the "in group" with our young guys and I'm not sure how he'll get there this season with his decision and these rules.

Would you be offended if one of your coworkers stood up in front of the company and mocked you, and insinuated that you were acting stupid? Especially when it was the coworkers first day.

Heh, I'm closing in on 40; obviously it's happened to me (more than once) and I've stood up for myself, if not in the moment then after with the individual(s). More importantly though, you learn to relativize these things and put them away in a cabinet of "who gives a ****" because it's a waste of energy.

We're not inside their heads when any of it happens, you cannot gauge the mood or relationships. Hence the eye roll. If you're concerned for their well being, then great, I like that. But until anyone knows for certain I'll assume that players/staff etc are able to see it for what it is and *if* there is an issue with anything of that kind that is dealt with internally.

You're right we can't gauge the mood of these guys. Isaac seems like a thick skinned person. I just wouldn't automatically declare Robin is good for moral like others have done. You just never know how players will react to his antics.
