I mean we have Andre Drummond summer highlights of him looking like a giant Magic Johnson...doesn't mean he is going to be doing that here (oh lord I hope not lol)

He comes back the same because his role is the same.
Ben's still waiting for a play to be drawn up for him.

bull

you don't need plays run for you to take open shots. Or to attack the rim.

Maxey didn't have plays run for him either and he made things happen.

He has the ball in his hands...he controls things.

Stop absolving him of any blame. Its just as bad as those who blame him for everything. He is not the only reason we lost. Biid's TOs; Tobias turning back into a pumpkin; Doc going full Doc and Morey not doing **** anything all play a major role....but this idea that if only things were made easier for Ben is the solution is just **** dumb. Everything has been for his benefit. And he has not shown any willingness to even step slightly out of his wheelhouse and here we are talking about plays being run for him? Are you serious?

Agree, and also not saying Joel is the perfect player, because let's be honest, he's had some whack giveaways in crucial moments of the Playoffs. However, one could most definitely argue that some of Embiid's mistakes were due to Ben's presence (more so lack of) on the court at the same time as him, making Joel's job more difficult than it should be.

Had Joel been paired with a starting PG who's a true perimeter threat on offense, the defenses we've faced would've had to play us 100x more honest.

I need me a nice Embiid jersey to rock around the streets of Canada. What a f**** legend. I don't know why I have scenes of Rocky Balboa running through the fish market in mind.

Joel has really, really shown tremendous leadership and character qualities that become more evident every time something leaks from The Coward and his camp (yes, I’m trying to make this a thing).

The nickname on reddit is my favorite. We had the Answer. Now we have "the Excuse."

That is insulting to yeast infections.

Hell yes, Joel, this is your team, and he is whining about it and making you and everyone else look bad, toss the Jimmy grenade with the pin pulled.

Someone said no plays were designed for Simmons? The only shot he can make routinely, if he even takes it, is a dunk, and they put him in the dunker spot. Design plays for your PG, get serious, it is his job to know how to get his own and feed the others.

I really kind of want Sexton at this point because despite his limitations he is the anti-Ben, scores at will, works on his game at Maxey like levels, plays balls to the wall 110% of the time and Sixers fans would love him, it would wipe away the taste of Ben. Sexton is a Philly guy by his nature. I still want the Sexton, Rubio, Okoro/Osman package and not the corpse of Love with him, but if we can't get Haliburton from Sacto, and Garland brings Klutch cooties and is likely off the board anyway, Sexton and a package and Simmons having to get the JD Drew treatment a couple of times a year while enjoying the shadow of Lebron and the beauty of Cleveland, just make it happen and we can figure out the Sextion fit and subsequent trades later.

++++ Cleveland is my number one as well for sexton and love with as many picks and swaps as we can get

Wow. Get em Jo. Simmons is truly tarnishing his imagine rn. Can't tell how much of it is Klutch's influence vs his own personality, but I think it's hard to view him in a positive light, even as a non-sixers fan.

Bunch of people on the GB think that Jo is lying, and that management didn't side with Ben, and that if all of this was true then Jimmy would have said it on JJ's podcast.

Need some back up.

Feel free to chime in.

The GB is as bad as r/nba. There's no reasoning with those people. They will take any stance that is anti-Sixers fans. Before they chewed Simmons to shreds, but now they side with him.

The most annoying thing is that they bring their vitriol to our board now.

Who cares what those clowns have to say. Joel is still being very professional and politically correct. He, Jimmy, and a few others I believe could go all in on Simmons. Hence the reason he's silent and hiding behind Klutch's skirt. It's truly pathetic and disgusting. Have a lot more respect if he acted like a man, spoke and put his chest behind it. My God how hard is it?

I think Butler wanted to go to Miami. Full stop. There was a report that for some reason, he was blown away by Miami's ceremony for Wade before a Sixers game in March and that's when he decided. Why that would impact him who knows.

But the other side of this is that Butler couldn't just go to Miami if Philly didn't play along. What I don't think we know still is what would have happened if Philly said we're not participating in any sign and trade so either resign here or go to one of the crappy teams with space. Would Butler have resigned under that ultimatum? And would we even want Butler to since he's not the type to just suck up and put on a happy face when's pissed about something.

I still contend that the problem wasn't letting Butler walk but what we did next that is the problem.

No evidence the price went down. No knowledge of what was being offered "months ago." But sure, whatever.

The real final nail in the coffin will be what happens tomorrow.

Ben Simmons is owed 8 million dollars tomorrow in his contract negotiated by Rich Paul and the Sixers.

Does Josh Harris pay Simmons or no?

Send him a photo of $8 million in cash on a conference room table at the practice facility in Camden and tell him to come get it.
