no one is buying it any more. Until that guy plays like that on a NBA floor who gives a ****?
I mean we have Andre Drummond summer highlights of him looking like a giant Magic Johnson...doesn't mean he is going to be doing that here (oh lord I hope not lol)
He comes back the same because his role is the same.
Ben's still waiting for a play to be drawn up for him.
bull
you don't need plays run for you to take open shots. Or to attack the rim.
Maxey didn't have plays run for him either and he made things happen.
He has the ball in his hands...he controls things.
Stop absolving him of any blame. Its just as bad as those who blame him for everything. He is not the only reason we lost. Biid's TOs; Tobias turning back into a pumpkin; Doc going full Doc and Morey not doing **** anything all play a major role....but this idea that if only things were made easier for Ben is the solution is just **** dumb. Everything has been for his benefit. And he has not shown any willingness to even step slightly out of his wheelhouse and here we are talking about plays being run for him? Are you serious?
Agree, and also not saying Joel is the perfect player, because let's be honest, he's had some whack giveaways in crucial moments of the Playoffs. However, one could most definitely argue that some of Embiid's mistakes were due to Ben's presence (more so lack of) on the court at the same time as him, making Joel's job more difficult than it should be.
Had Joel been paired with a starting PG who's a true perimeter threat on offense, the defenses we've faced would've had to play us 100x more honest.
