Often?
Here and there?
With RJ at the 3 because defense? Or Fournier for creators/playmakers in the lineup: Rose/Kemba/Fournier/Randle?

Or just stick with Rose or Kemba with RJ and Fournier, which provides enough creation but balances it with some defense and height?
Could be matchup dependent, but if it's Thibs, I'm thinking it'll be RJ and Fournier out there with a PG.

Randle is a given. it's Mitch or Noel depending on foul trouble, game flow etc.

Rose and Kemba seem too redundant together. I think Thibs would like to figure out how to get Burks to close sometimes. Burks won us a few games last season, but Fournier would take that spot now most likely.

He's a better player than Nerlens by a good margin, just older. I must say, though, if that flexing pic is current he looks buff

Taj is a much more complete player, and a smarter one, too. But he's only good for about 10 - 15 minutes per game, and not necessarily in one stretch. So we need Nerlens until or unless we find Mitch can hold up.

Taj has sometimes been the best player on the floor in those short bursts. He can be a difference maker even in limited minutes. Overall, our rotations at the Center position is really solid and makes the coach's job easier.

Gave up on Knox a long time ago. He'll either be out of the league or in Dallas next season. 8-)

Agreed but still hope Thibs finds more minutes for Obi instead of the usual 12 minutes backing up Randle.

I will call this coaching staff miraculous if Knox plays his way into the rotation and shows he's an NBA player. Not expecting it, just staying open to being amazed.

Yes to this. Randle led the league in minutes. Our roster is plenty deep enough to not need to play anyone more than 32 minutes a game unless we're down to the wire or playing in OT. There should be at least 20 minutes to give to Obi if they distribute the minutes properly. I think it would make Randle better and more dangerous if he was able to get a little rest.

I was thinking when he entered the league Mitch had the physical tools to be in the mold of Anthony Davis if he just added a jumper (as did others who didn't want to include him in a trade for the real Anthony Davis or LaMelo or other superstar players) but he doesn't seem to have the mentality or work ethic to become better. He's been documented in the past for his fortnite addiction and he was playing fortnite this summer so that should have been a warning. He's about to be going where you-know-who went and he will be starting for the Mavericks in 2022-2023.

Maybe Mitch bulked up to try to do battle with some of the bigger centers. He certainly struggled with that. But he almost certainly loses some of his uniqueness with that physique. Hope he didn't skip leg day. And lets it fly.
