Beasley, Naz, Prince/Beverly and a 1st, maybe two 1sts as the foundation as our offer, I still see no reason to go higher.

I would do this deal you're proposing if we get to keep McDaniels and send 1 more pick to Philly, but I actually believe Philly doesn't really want this deal over a deal with Beasley and one more above average starter from the 3rd team.
I think Philly would rather do smth like taking Beasley + Grant/Wood for Simmons, while Wolves send picks to the 3rd team, because Philly wants to run everything through Embiid and the rest of the starters are supposed to complement him.
I imagine a:
Maxey/Beasley/Grant/Harris/Embiid
starting lineup is what Philly would like to run rather than
Russell/Curry/Green/Harris/Embiid,
because of all the defensive issues on the latter lineup.

Hold strong. Philly can wilt away with the BS distractions for all I care. A 37,000,000 empty seat on the bench is tough to look at.
I don’t think trading Russell would be “insanely stupid,” he has had huge flaws in his game precluding winning. He may be working on those flaws.
I don’t think he will be traded though. His rep appears to be a non-winning player. Media and fans see him not so much as asset, as merely salary filler. Here, I think he’s seen as an asset. When you have two sides that value a player differently, a trade around that player generally won’t happen.

At this point I’m against a Russell-centric Simmons trade just for the mere sake of Kat’s mental health.

Re: Ben Simmons Thread #2 (“Don’t make me contact Howard” Edition)
Crazy thought.....
This thing lasts until the deadline. By that point, Minnesota pieces improve their stock as they are going to make a playoff push, while Philadelphia wallows in mediocrity, and isn't in the running for homecourt advantage. Sixers then decide that a major "rebuild" package from Minnesota is the best route, as Lillard and Beal again reaffirm their loyalty to their current organizations.
Beasley, Prince, 3 1sts

I think if Simmons is held to deadline, you start seeing Chris Paul for Ben Simmons rumors.

There's no way Morey trades a 25-year old star for a guy near the end. I still say Sacramento will be his landing spot. The Kings will eventually give in and trade Fox or Haliburton.

This is why we should trade Kat and build around Ant. Enough with building around a fragile minded player tbh.

I think Krapinsky makes a good point, and it’s hard for me to think anyone wouldn’t be fragile right now after the SI story

I had a similar question. If Simmons showed up would the Sixers have to release the payment? If they didn't, could Simmons sue them for breach of contract? If the money is released would Simmons walk out again?

Give Ant a few years with our franchise and i'm sure he'll be in the same boat.

You are going to receive a substantial amount of pushback. Ultimately I think the value is roughly in the correct ballpark, but Minnesota's goal is likely to combine Simmons, Russell, and Towns.
Something important with Ben Simmons trade scenarios is that the "if this was on the table, would Philadelphia have taken it by now"-question is important. If the answer is "yes", then it probably is not on the table.
Yeah I assume Minny want to combine the school friends but I don't know if it is possible. I think coming Simmons, Ant, KAT is possible and it's also the better combination.
I don't think Minnesota can get Simmons without giving up either DLo or Ant.
I don't think Philly would take DLo, McDaniels, FRP right now. The pieces fit but Morey is an impact stats guy and those players don't have that. I think it could be the most competitive offer Minny put forward though and we will see what happens.

I dont think Ant is the whiny type that will want his friends around or else. Ant rarely cried to the refs, when he easily should hhave gotten to the line 6-8 more times per game his rookie season.
