I can’t see a scenario where we don’t accept Anthony Edwards, so I think a third team being needed means we are doing the picks platter instead and rerouting it to the third team.

I hope we somehow pry Shai out of left field, but OKC already has way too many picks. They’re over saturated with picks to the point that it’s almost detrimental to them in the way it cost us four seconds to rent George Hill for a month.

Kings (Halliburton + Hield or Fox)
Wolves (Edwards or unprotected picks+swaps)
Cavs (Sexton+Love+unprotected picks)
Pelicans (Ingram)

These teams will be out of playoff picture late December/January. Panic mode will be activated.

I don’t think Lillard or Beal will be available during the season, but I like the options above.

Why would the Pelicans trade Ingram for Simmons? Ingram is the better player and better fit next to Zion.

Only stars I see potentially being moved for picks this season are SGA, FVV, Siakam, Ingram

These are unlikely but possible for enough picks.

With all due respect, I don't think Morey would sniff any of those deals. We are in a position to contend for a title with Embiid. None of those packages get us there, unfortunately. I do think from a fan and outsider perspective, there is a case to be made for packages like these. However, I think offers like this or better (i.e. CJ + Cov + multiple picks) have been made and Morey hasn't accepted them.

Dame, Beal, Edwards, Kyrie...someone who can be a 1B to Joel's 1A. That's how Morey has traditionally built his teams, and I think that's how he will continue to do so. The fact that Ben has 4 more years on his deal makes it easier for him to hold onto him for the right deal.

I keep seeing replies like these. I have one question. What if none of the players you want are available? Would you just let Simmons sit out for 4 years and let him leave as a free agent or would you accept something less than what's on your wish list? Just demanding that Morey bring in a star player is not how trades work. You have to have a willing participant. I believe a lot of fans lose sight of this.

I'd probably do it... mostly for getting rid of that Tobi contract (Wiggins 2 yr vs Tobias' 3 yr).

Maxey Green Wiggins Dray Embiid
Curry Shake Moody Matisse Wiseman

Not great shooting, but feels like a dark house ECF team. Lots of personalities there though.

That 2nd unit is serious too. Tons of interesting combinations you can throw out there. Embiid/Dray defense is fun.

Warriors get
Steph Klay Kuminga Tobias Ben ?

Could see that warriors team winning a chip.

You alienate and strongarm the group then you disrespect the group in front of everyone including naming the best player on the team.

Literally the day before the group handled it to aplomb with their attitude and respectful dialogue in response to the media in public.

This is in public.

Then the best player comments on it.

Ben’s camp is really not fit for this lol

I think this is checkmate.

Paul and Simmons and Simmon’s camp are definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Give it up get back to work.

Doesn't make sense for SGA or Ingram to be moved for pics. The Thunder and Pels have plenty of pics already and neither one of those players are disgruntled. The Pels are trying to make the playoffs to keep Zion from leaving, why would they trade their second-best player for picks? If anything the Thunder would trade a bunch of pics to the Sixers for Simmons.

Reality:

1 year into a long contract. Employee refuses to work and rock up.

Boss: “Fine you quit you don’t get paid or I’ll see on Monday at work there’s your two options.”

Ben needs to wake up to life or else this will end much worse.

Leveraged investments have a funny way of making stars go broke and do commercials and taking up media jobs for the rest of their born lives.

I’d say he’s already close to being that. Young, dumb and full of ....

You don’t because you can’t see both sides here. Majority would think Ben is being a dikhead.

I've said from the beginning that I would take Brogdon, Warren, and a FRP for Simmons in a heartbeat and then pray for health. This is really the only trade being considered that actually makes the Sixers a better team than they were last year (health permitting). Brogdon is the perfect non-allstar point guard to replace Simmons. Also, Curry can play with him with Maxey coming off the bench. Sweet lineup.

No defense.

You know why we got Redick, Curry, Korkmaz, TLC, Shamet, Joe, Bridges, in the first place?

Ben.

Imagine if we got PG’s or actually non one dimensional guards.

What if it was Brogdon, four years of TJ McConnell, an unprotected 22 1st and a lottery protected 24 1st?

Both of those players are very injury prone. You really want to take that risk?
