Read @nbated twitter feed

He's been pretty vocal the last few weeks

Bucks just resigned a player who was sharing antivax memes so I'm not sure it's a covid thing that pushed Ted out

I think Paschke left on his own accord and they saw an opening for a fresh slate of media talent covering Bucks

I follow Ted and I haven't seen anything indicating he was forced out unless maybe I missed it? I had heard that Ted didn't like the Covid protocols the NBA was putting in place for this year(not the Bucks but the NBA) and that's why he "retired"

Also fwiw Bryant is vaccinated, he posted about it a few months ago

Who was sharing antivaxx stuff? This better not be about Elijah Bryant, again.

Have seen these hints on twitter and now here about Ted Davis being forced out.

Would love to see some local journalism on it. Not often does a 25-year broadcast fixture just up and "retire" with no pre-announced fanfare. So the smoke out there seems to add up to something.

Ted had a tweet in the last month where he basically said he was pushed out. He was kind of complaining about how he didn't get to do some of the photo ops Jim, Zora and some others just did with the trophies.

I remember because it came as news to me. Had no idea it wasn't just him hanging it up.

Just now noticing those tweets. Interesting they wouldn't let him take a photo with the trophy. And a later tweet he re-affirms that he hasn't retired from broadcasting.

Wondering if he has a settlement that requires him to keep quiet. Really a shame they might have pushed him out.

I am almost positive the reason he wasn't at the event with Jim and Zora is because Ted isn't vaccinated and all attendees at the event were required to be

Is it possible Karmazin (WTMJ, ESPN Wisconsin, and Bucks minority owner) didn’t want a competing radio station’s guy to be the Bucks radio play by play anymore? Thus, the guys picked, at least for preseason, are his guys at ESPN Wisconsin. Gutted Ted got the shaft for the parade and photo ops. He worked through a lot of lean years for the Bucks.

Good theory. Highly plausible.

I lit the candle on Twitter just now. Let's see if someone blows it out or pours gasoline on it.

what do you mean by Ted being a competing radio station? Isn't 620 WTMJ the primary for it and that's what he's on. But if possible to explain that dynamic quickly it would be appreciated. Would probably help non-MKE locals a bit to understand the landscape

I tagged Homer on Twitter with it. He immediately slammed back, understandably so, as that's his employer. LOL.

LOL. A bit of an overreaction by him. You said 'theory', not that anyone was claiming inside info or knowledge.

Wasn’t Ted technically a bucks employee and not with 620?

Well, the plot thickens. 97.3 The Game’s twitter account (Ted’s current employer for you out-state people) just liked my original tweet about there possibly being unreported story regarding Ted’s departure from the Bucks.
