Zero interest in LaVert. None.

Jeff Ruland part 2. So tired of these always injured damaged goods.

Brogdon & LeVert would be a terrible return unless picks are involved

A core of Simmons, Brogdon & Turner makes a lot of sense for the Pacers

Long been said that Turner & Sabonis don’t fit so maybe use the latter’s value to entice a 3rd team

With Horford, Schroder, Smart as the vets.

That’s a nice as heck front 9. Going to be a hard outing all year imo.

Heat also look go to go this year

We are in trouble big time

Meh. The Sixers are still likely a playoff team.

But if everything goes wrong and they absolutely suck? Then Embiid suddenly needs to get that knee scoped and it's a stealth tank year. Revisit Simmons in the offseason. They have the perfect tank commander in Tobias. And give Maxey and Springer and Joe and Reed lots of playing time. Look to move Danny, and maybe Seth too?, for picks or young guys.

If that is the case which isn’t out of the realm of possibility we need to acquire a good enough pick as a double down.

Say 2x top 10 picks would be very handy and another the year after. I already see a Seth Curry replacement in Simons, and Green, Thybulle, Milton and Drummond for me should be opened up around trade deadline.

Just depends how the first month goes. Currently we are far away from being a contender.

Ben Simmons and a first for DeAaron Fox and Harkless. The Kings realize they don't really need Fox since their team is already essentially built for Ben.

Sac-

Tyrese Haliburton/Davion Mitchell
Buddy Hield/Terence Davis
Ben Simmons
Harrison Barnes
Marvin Bagley

Lots of size, shooting, and now the DPOY contender who also gets three point shooters buckets.

Phi-

DeAaron Fox
Seth Curry
Danny Green
Tobias Harris
Joel Embiid

Have our slashing scorer who is actually willing to shoot, despite being pretty bad at it.

Might require us sending someone like Furkan over so they have more depth at SF and another shooter who can play with Ben. I think Fox is easier to get than expected; especially if they start the season off slow. Ben, Haliburton, and Mitchell will anchor the perimeter defense; they might need to find some interior defense help. I could see them making the playoffs with that team.

Milton
Korkmaz
Thybulle
Maxey
Reed
Joe
Bassey
Springer

That’s 8 more than half a list.

This is a youth core problem which should be attended to and not missed. If you don’t see an upside player here then move them asap. There’s too much talent influx not to cycle it through quicker. Also I’ve found basketball to be a quicker indicator of how good a player can be. Because it’s 5x5 there is nowhere to hide.

We may actually have the worse young core coming through in the NBA. All aren’t starter quality as we speak

Get rid of Thybulle plz. He still appears to be an offensive zero. There's nothing there IMO.

Let me also add that I'd love to get Fox, but boy, the dude is still a bad shooter. We'd pull our hair out quite a bit with him on offense.

Look for youngins that are underepped or could breakout or just be off value due to playing time/circumstances. Even now

I mean quite a few players nowadays literally come from the outer and become solid to good starters in the league. Identification is key. Youngsters get moved all the time too

We should be targeting them and should be just as high of a priority as moving on from Ben. They don’t work out that’s fine as long as the cost isn’t that great who cares. Got to bolster the young core it’s pretty bad tbh.

NAW
Lewis
Simons
Cooper (Doesn’t have a real contract yet)
Flynn
Nesmith
Pritchard
Vassell
Reddish
Okongwu
Svi
Bamba
Jerome

Plenty of names to get before they get really good.

Way too big and convoluted trade that I absolutely love:

Simmons, Thybulle, and Jerome to DET
Young, Aminu, 2022 PHI 1st (top 10 protected, if not conveyed then two future 2nds), and 2024 PHI 1st (top 10 protected, if not conveyed then two future 2nds) to OKC
Grant, Bey, Hayes, Murray, and 2025 1st returned to PHI
Harris, Joseph, and Milton to SAS

Murray/Maxey/Hayes
Curry/Korkmaz/Springer
Green/Bey/Joe
Grant/Niang/Reed
Embiid/Drummond/Bassey

I just want a (hopefully) young, up-and-coming point guard. This team hasn't had a solid point guard in years. Just a point guard who can safely make entry passes inside to Embiid, understands the flow of the game, can crisply pass to the open man, and can shoot. Is that too much to ask? Maybe...

Is it Fox? Is it Dejonte Murray? Is it Brogdon?

Whatever move we make for Simmons, I hope it's for an above-average starting point NBA point guard.
Truth is on the side of the oppressed.

The Sixers need shooting, always, everyone does, but beyond that basic requirement they need a true lead guard and more interchangeable and athletic wings. Part of what did the team in last year against Atlanta was the Hawks overall athleticism, it is a problem that arises with the Raptors and several other teams as opponents. Whether in a two or three team trade, or a series of trades, those are the areas that need to be addressed. A lead guard that can shoot as well would go a long way, but we are also kind of clunky on the wing in terms of athleticism and size, which was an issue Simmons helped to cover up by defending guys like that.

Danny Green is at the end of his days as being considered athletic nd is now skilled and crafty. Thybulle is athletic, but a bench player unless he develops more offence. Shake is a nice player, but athletes give him trouble on both ends, and Curry is a skilled, undersized two with more bench than starter level athleticism.

Maxey and maybe Isiah Joe are more on the athletic side, Reed too, but all three still developing. Those are the holes the team had to fill before Simmons ran away and hid and are even more pressing now to address.

I think we should have drafted Mcbride and Ayo over Springer. Both look likely types and have better skillsets. Age aside both of them have NBA positional size down which can’t just be had.

I'd gladly welcome TJ back in Philly! Holy crap! A real point guard? Yeah, sign me up! He's another one we got rid of just to appease Ben. SMDH

The player we missed out on was Hyland, but I agree, I like those other guys better than I like Springer. We'll see though. I hope I am wrong.

I'd have to guess they thought they could bully the Sixers and NBA to do what they wanted more than they didn't know. A miscalculation of their influence and maybe teams and NBA overall disdain for them and their methodology.
